This product has a terrible battery life. The base it comes with does not have a spot for all of the attachments. The power is low on it and leaves a ton behind. The dust bin is incredibly small. Sadly not much positive about it except it’s compact.

Nice little light weight vacuum. Good for older people.

This is the best thing I’ve ever splurged one in my life! I have light colored cats and a dark rug…this vacuum makes quick work of picking up the cat hair. It’s fairly quiet, easy to use, and has a lot of power. Not to mention I feel like a Jedi with it due to the sleek design heehee

For me this vacuum is great but it does have a design problem. I knew when I bought it that it that the battery would not last long and that it didn’t hold much in the dust cup, so I really can’t complain about those things. I don’t think the battery lasts as long as they say if you’re using the floor attachment. It does seem to go down less rapidly when using the hand vac only. It’s easy to just stop by a wastebasket and dump the dust cup if it gets too full before you’re finished.
It’s definitely not going to clean a big house in one session, but for daily tidying it works great for me, is light and handy, and I love being able to take off the hand vac and get into places the floor attachment won’t fit, then replace it and keep going on the rest of the floor. I’m old and it’s not heavy, so that’s a big plus. I’ve been happy with the power, too. Seems much stronger than another brand cordless that I have, and the dog hair not getting wound around the roller is wonderful! That may be the best feature!
BUT, there is a design problem with the dust cup. The diagram for removing the filter from the dust cup is inaccurate. The lid would not open far enough for the filter to come out. Shark customer service had no advice except to apply more pressure. I was afraid it would break, so I returned it and when I got the replacement vacuum I checked that part first. It’s got the same design problem, but I could pry the new one open far enough to remove the filter if I work at it. They really need to redesign that part. I see on their website that it is out of stock, as is the battery. So my tip is to check to see whether you can remove the filter for thorough cleaning when you get yours, before you keep it a month and find out it won’t come out and you and can’t return it to Amazon. It’s not something you have to do every day. It’s shown in Figure 3 under Cleaning the Dust Cup and Filter. Also, don’t put the stand together until you’re sure you’re keeping it because it can’t be disassembled and would be hard to repack after assembly.
Concerning all the complaints about customer service, I went through back and forth on Facebook giving all the numbers they asked for, including the number on the electrical plug (!), and even sending a picture of the problem and was then, after a day or so of this, told I had to call and go through troubleshooting on the phone and give them all the numbers again. I don’t consider that excellent customer service and that’s why I just returned the product and got a replacement. I just hope nothing goes wrong with it during the warranty period. I have a corded Shark vacuum and have never had any problems with it. Deduct a star for the dust cup problem. If not for that it would be five stars for my use.

Cool vacuum great for small homes or apartments,
so far the only cons for me is for the normal price of $250 it should have a led light on it like the $100 one I had. That should come standard.
And Second, the hair seems to catch on the top sides of the brush unlike advertised, The marketing of the brush and slim design was the main selling point over other brands.

This vacuum is perfect for what it’s designed for. It is not meant for heavy duty, deep cleaning. It is for quick everyday spot cleaning. I use it to quickly get under the table after my kids eat, and in the corners and the crevices of the couch that always collect dust and crumbs. I typically only use it for 15 minutes a day and it has never run out of battery. The canister is small, but is the perfect size for quick everyday cleaning.

However, this is a positive review. I actually bought this vacuum, unlike other reviewers. Here’s what I like.
It has a charging base which makes sense, the plug is compact for behind furniture placement and the attachment for the base is underneath so again nothing to stick out but the cord. The handheld part can be charged while attached to the brush roll unit, or to the side as pictured with the nozzle and small brush attached. This also comes with a large brush attachment with 360 degrees of bristles, but it doesn’t have a home on the base (c’mon shark.. you were doing so well with this so far)
Still with me? The vacuum is rather quiet, much quitter than I expected. The filter inside is a conical mesh design and another secondary filter which I have yet to explore. Part of the fun of this vacuum at first is figuring out what buttons do what. I had to use the manual for a few. Expect to empty the dust bin after every use, however, I was impressed with the amount of cat fur it sucked up. Luckily you wont overfill the dust container because, as advertised, you’re not going to be vacuuming for long.
Make sure to charge it out of the box. Mine was at 1 bar (out of 3) With a full charge and running the brush roller I was able to make it around the bottom floor of my house and put it back on the charger with one bar left and the vacuum never slowed. I also like that the battery is removable so you could feasibly have more than one.
The rollers on the brush head also feel very soft, unlike other hard plastic vacuum wheels which rattle across wood floors. There is also a kickback strip on the underside so nothing comes flying back at your feet (unlike its larger corded brothers which just redistributes the dirt as you vacuum)
The only downside to this vacuum is the price, but its ease of use and simplicity make “grabbing the vacuum” effortless. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I just hope the battery holds up well over time and its a bit more reliable than its smaller handheld only cousin… again, read the negative reviews. 4.5 stars for this one. price and no where to put the second attachment points deducted.
