My first Sun Ninja experience was amazing. At first the wind was blowing hard and I had my reservations about whether the tent would stay up, after filling the anchor bags to the top with sand and stretching the sand bags out as far as possible, I can officially report back that this products works well! For best results you need to stretch this tent so that it stands firm. Looking forward to our next beach day

Have used it at the beach a few times – extremely easy to set up and pack down. Holds up really well even in reasonably strong winds. Couldn’t be happier with it – couldn’t recommend enough for the beach. Haven’t used it somewhere without sand yet though, so can’t comment on how it will go without sand…

We love our new Sun Ninja Beach Tent. Easy to set up, heaps of shade and easy to pack up. Was initially a little worried about the large size of the 8 man… Would definitely recommend. We are a family of 4 and the 8 man is perfect without being too obnoxious. Forget Cool Cabanas…..the Sun Ninja is where it’s at!

I love this tent. We used this on NC beach at Emerald Isle, where on each side of us the beach was lined with the more expensive Shibumi beach tents at 250$ a piece. The Sun Ninja excelled in comparison. It was much quieter and the XL provided much shade for my family of 5 and.
Our 2 adult friends. Very easily to set up and take down. I will never have another beach umbrella. **directions are printed on inside of the pole bag, read those and you will be fine, just make sure you fill the sand bags to the top, stretch them far a part and put the poles facing the wind and you are all set!

Tengo que admitir que tenia mis reservas con este toldo y ha superado mis expectativas.
Practico Kitesurf y por ello no solo paso mucho tiempo en la playa sino que lo hago en días en que hay mucho viento y por ello los toldos normalmente no me sirven o no me duran.
Con este las cosas cambian, hasta la fecha lo he usado en unas 8 ocasiones y ha funcionado de maravilla, se ha estirado un poco porque si la he usado en días de viento fuerte, pero se ve que todavía le quedan muchos usos más. Compré la más grande y el área que cubre es bastante generosa, hemos estado 4 personas muy cómodamente debajo de ella, sin duda es una compra muy recomendable.
Como tip si la compran, los bolsillos para la arena los tienen que llenar completamente hasta el tope y antes de poner los postes hay que estirar la malla muy bien en el suelo, las primeras veces tenia miedo de que se fuera a romper pero aguanta bastante y es muy importante que esté bien estirada para que se mantenga de pie.

I read all the reviews on how it was an ok item with 3 poles and every one said that if it had 4 poles it would be perfect. Well I saw they made it with 4 poles, so I ordered it. Well we spent over an hour at the beach trying to get it to stay up. Any wind, I’m talking light breeze and the whole thing collapses. We followed all instructions. It really seemed neat, if it would of worked. Any breeze or you bump it and the whole thing collapses. I returned it because it did not do what it said. It claimed it held up to wind at 55 mph. It does not. Don’t waste your money if your using on the beach. There is nothing to support the 4 poles. Maybe on grass, but not at the beach.

I just used my tent for a week on a Florida Gulf coast beach, and wanted to share my results.
First of all, having dragged off the wreckage of FOUR separate Popups Tents after misreading/missing sudden winds bursts, this tent is almost indestructible. It should last me many years of use.
When I first put the shade up, I didn’t fill the bags up enough, and they slide in the higher winds causing the poles to wobble and fall. Bummer.
Here’s the secret. Fills the bags all the way up. When you think you are done filling, fill it some more. Dig a little hole/trench and flop the sandbag into it so it won’t slide. You want it pretty tight so the poles don’t wobble in the wind. Use the rubber bands on the top of the shade, to secure the balls on the end of the poles. Double-wrap them. When you lose you rubber bands, replace with rubber band from fresh asparagus from the store. Lol.
My wife did comment that it felt warmer under the shade than our old tent, due to the holes letting some light thru. It’s SPF 50, so you gotta apply sunscreen always. Not a show stopper.
On two separate days, afternoon storms approached and destroyed pop-up tents around us. Sun Ninja just laughed. Worst case, the poles fall over and Ninja lays flat on the sand. Nothing breaks. I’m looking at another dead pop up now from my balcony. Don’t buy popup tents for the beach. Buy a Sun Ninja.
Overall, an excellent sunshade.

I recently took the Sun Ninja to the beach this past week. I was so excited as I have to have shade if I go but really wanted something sturdy for the wind as I have had umbrellas and canopy’s blow away on me a few times. I had no idea that the day I picked would have 25+ mph winds (I didn’t check forecast well). After driving to the beach I really didn’t want to leave so I stuck it out. The wind was SO bad I was honestly nervous to try and out the shade up. There was no way anything could last. After being in the sun and knew I was getting burnt I had to try to put the shade up. I reread the directions and watched the online video (which had great suggestions for windy days) and it went up effortlessly and stayed up the entire time! It was also easy to adjust. I am a fairly small/short person and I was able to adjust and put it up by myself. I am so happy with this purchase!

This was SO easy to lay out and set up and super lightweight in the carrying bag. When we took it down, the sand fell right off. It was breezy the first day we used it, so I gave up trying to fold it back up and just shoved it in the bag. The next time we pulled it out, a couple days later, it was in great shape- no wrinkles or anything. I love that I didn’t have to hammer or screw things into the ground and that the simplicity made it easy for EVERYONE to help with set up and tear down. We bought the biggest one, just so we’d have room to not be on top of each other. We ended up using regular sack chairs, instead of the low beach chairs bc there was tons of room underneath. There are lots of different ways this could be configured, depending on how many poles you used. If you’re in the fence, I found this to be far superior to those dome tents or the circular sunshades for the beach. And lighter weight that the square canopy shades on the frame. Highly recommend.

I was excited to receive this for our beach trip. We have two small kids so I was looking forward to an easy assemble tent that just takes minutes. It was a windy first day at the beach, but who cares, right?! I have the beach ninja, that is supposed to uphold to wind. I ordered the large. The large only comes with 2 poles. It may have worked better if it had 4. The poles kept wobbling and would eventually fall over. The sand bags were full, but still were being dragged. I felt like I was trying to use a fitted sheet as a tent… it just isn’t going to work. They have a number to call if you have trouble. Well of course I had no signal. (We were at a state park at St George Island, Fl).
Then, when I get home I print up the return label. I get to the post office and their system doesn’t recognize the return address. He sends it off to the “closest” matching address. So hopefully I get my refund!!! I spent $20 to ship it back!!! That was the cheapest I could get. The tracking says “the address” got it but I have no way of telling the sun ninja place got it. Checking through Amazon doesn’t show me anything.
So, don’t purchase this item!!!
