Want to love this dress but it is completely see thru…..love the fit, colors and style but just can’t keep it even for the price because it is so sheer

Only tried this on quickly but very pleased! It’s long (but I am quite short!) Will order in another colour. Recommend.
Update – August – only just started wearing this black dress, very pleased but word of warning – wash by hand – colour comes out! Thankfully I didn’t wash in the machine as everything would have come out grey!

I prefer wearing maxi dresses to shorts over the summer months. I usually wear size medium in most clothing. Reviews claimed this dress ran large so I purchased a small. I am around 5’5-5’6, low 130lbs and 36B bust. This dress fit perfectly. It falls right above my feet without shoes. I’ve washed it once so far and put it in the dryer. It came out great. The picture is after washing. Great quality for the price. I will buy more!

Here’s the trick: buy way smaller than you think. I accidentally bought extra small when I meant to buy medium (I’m 36C size 8, typically). When I saw my mistake, I thought, “uh oh!”, but I tried it on anyway. The top of the dress is snug, but not too small. Meanwhile the skirt is perfect— not too full. Many reviews commented on the skirt being too full, so I wonder if just getting way smaller than normal would work as it has for me. The material has plenty of stretch. I bought the grey and the deep red— which is very much closer to purple than it appears in the photo.

Finally! Not too long, perfect fit! Im short 5′ 4″ and this sits nicely without hitting floor! Only thing is my velcro strap on my sandal would catch so have to be aware of that if footwear has that ! But the dress in navy isnot see through, very comfortable, i have since bought 2 patterned ones as they basically wear themselves! I don’t have a big bust otherwise i think size wise the top part would have been too small as it is very fitted. But i love it!

I ordered a size smaller than I would normally , as I wanted it loose and it runs large. The fabric is good quality and nicely weighted, the top is cut well and cover bra straps easily, the scoop neck is not too low for decency. I also tried it with a linen jacket and heels , happily it is smart enough to be dressed up or down. The skirt is generous and swishes nicely when you walk . I saw that some people were unhappy about the position of the raised waist, but I found it to be very comfortable. It isn’t quite high enough to be Empire line, but I didn’t find the skirt flared out over the stomach at all. I am 5′ 7″ and the hem was on my ankle. I would happily buy more if there were other patterns I liked.

I would not have ordered the dress had I known that it had an empire line & is not cut as pictured. The cut of the dress does not flatter my figure as I have quite a large bust & the dress emphasises that, making me look bigger overall. It’s also not very comfortable to have the band of the dress sitting under my chest. The dress otherwise fits correctly, so the issue is not incorrect sizing. I will wear it as a house dress, but I wouldn’t go out publicly in it. I’m disappointed.

This dress is so comfortable! I’m usually a size 4-6 with dresses- or medium. Reading the reviews, I ordered the size small. I think an extra small would’ve been a perfect fit, but this fits well and comfortable. The elastic in the middle doesn’t bother me and it is placed at the waist. A cute waist belt will add the perfect touch! Also, I’m 5 ft. 4 inch and it hits just right at my feet (it’s not at the ankles like the picture shows). It doesn’t drag, which is always a problem I usually have ordering dresses.

This dress is simple, reasonably priced, and comfortable. I am 5’2 and it’s not too long to wear with flats! I wish there was a long-sleeve version of this dress available bc I’ve tried some other brands sold on Amazon and they’re wayyyy too long, but it seems silly to spend more on tailoring than on the dress itself. I would also love to see this dress in more colors and maybe even some patterns. I absolutely love wearing this dress all day.

Love this dress! Just buy it. ❤️ I am just under 5’2”, give or take ~150lbs, 34DDD, narrow shoulders. This fits perfectly. Color is true to photo. The material is soft and hangs nicely. Could dress up or wear casually. If you are short like me, this will fit like a maxi dress, but rather than dragging on the floor, will be the perfect length! Having read other reviews that said it was too much cleavage – I would disagree. I am usually self conscious about my chest and this dress makes me feel covered and confident. Did the camera flash test – not see through. Will 100% be buying in any other color I can get my hands on. Also, it was less than $10. WHAT?! The only thing that would make it better – some AMPLE POCKETS for carrying treasures. 😀 Please, Amazon?

I purchased this for a trip to the beach and got so much use out of it. I purchased the XL and could probably go down to an L. At first glance it does seem a little thin but it held up well. I wore it out to dinner and also as a Cover up at the beach. The back is a regular high tank cut. I have a scar on my back so I like to cover it and this did the trick. This is better than any other black maxi I have found in store.

I’m a first grade teacher and I need comfortable, lightweight, inexpensive dresses to wear that are cute, last a reasonably long time, and offer enough length to cover me up when I’m seated in chairs or on the floor during learning time, read alouds, etc. I used to buy Old Navy dresses but they fall apart, then I went up the cost ladder and started buy J.Jill sheath dresses, which were great, but surprisingly, pilled really quickly and lost shape in spite of the $60-$70 price tage. This summer I decided to try the Amazon basics before the school year started and they’re great. Kept me cool in the heat of Southern Utah and Arizona while on vacation, and cozy in my day to day life in San Francisco. I just bought 8 because school is starting up. Love the white and black patterns and solids. Scoop neck is so comfy.
