I recently purchased a full sized rear tine rototiller for the garden but I needed something else for working in tight spots for the flower gardens. I took a chance and bought this electric tiller.
It is lighter and tills slower than the big tiller but with patience it does a great job.
I found it best to remove the wheels while tilling up to 6 inches deep in hardpack clay soil.
When hitting rocks and roots it will jump up but it is not difficult to keep in control.
Unless you are tilling larger than 10′ X 10 ‘ this tiller is all you will need.

I use this for mixing compost. It doesn’t go very deep, but I am a no till gardener. I use it for mixing my compost piles and for aerating top layer of compost on my garden similar to a tilther. Is about 500 cheaper than a tilther and you don’t have to buy a drill, but you do have to buy a cord. If you are breaking ground get the 13.5 amp version with different tines, but for mixing the lower amp is what I wanted. Love how the tines come off to clean off the vines and weeds. For me it works great, if I were breaking up sod and tilling don’t think this would work very well at all, but does a great job for my garden

Rather than rent a heavy, noisy tiller from a big box store I decided to give an electric a shot. I was tempted to buy one with a higher amperage motor than this 8 amp model but in the end I decided to stick with the Greenworks brand. I’ve been very pleased with every Greenworks product I bought and this one is no exception. Compact, lightweight, and a breeze to maneuver. It went through St. Augustine grass, roots, and a few rocks without complaint and I got my garden area cleared quickly and quietly.

The media could not be loaded.

Using this tiller to get part of my front yard ready to lay down some sod. Once I got it together, it was pretty easy to use. It will tend to pull you forward when you are using it, but it’s not difficult to overcome. If I figure out what those 2 clips are for, I will update this.

I have a pretty small yard; however, I needed a tiller to create a bunch of flowerbeds around my house and around a new picket fence. I was drawn to this tiller based on its price and positive reviews. Once it arrived, I was excited to begin using it, so I quickly put the tiller together. The directions were straight-forward and easy to follow. It only took me about 30 minutes.

This product is so easy to use, and it works great. Using this product enabled me to create an abundance of flowerbeds in a very short amount of time. I don’t think I could have physically made these flowerbeds by myself without a tiller. This tiller helped me to removed grass from certain areas as well as till the dirt to create flowerbeds. I used the tiller for hours at a time and no issues with performance. In addition, the cord did not get in my way.

I would definitely recommend this product. Not only is it a reasonable price, but it is a GREAT product!

For some reason I had a lot of dead spots this spring in my lawn. The grass seed I purchased wants me to heavily rake the area then apply seed then some topsoil. We’ll after doing 2-3 areas and taking 1/2 an hour I decided there has to be an easier way. With this, you lightly let it churn the top layer of the soil, then apply the grass seed. It only took minutes! One of the best purchases I’ve made.

Update: it’s been two years now. I use this about 5 times a year and it’s still doing great. I had removed the wheels and now command this beast with upper body strength but it did the job!

Perfect weight for digging into my news home’s virgin flower bed. The contractor thought it would be a great idea to leave hundreds of 1-2″ sized rocks and taco Bell hot sauce wrappers in the dirt. Not a problem for this cultivator. This is my first time using one and I’m glad I went with the 8A over the smaller Greenworks tiller. This thing has yet to slow down even in this clumpy clay dirt in my garden. I’m very pleased with price and quality. This is my second Greenworks brand electric garden tool. I just bought one of their lawn mowers. Hopefully it’s just as good as I’m expecting.

My only complaint is the instructions seemed a little lacking. I have two pins left over and I don’t know where they go. Tool has operated fine for at least a couple of hours so I think they’re extra?

I have been quite surprised with how well this unit works. I am a 60+ year old short woman who still likes to put in a spring and fall vegetable garden. I have previously used gas model tillers, which still work, but now have issues pull starting them. Don’t quite have the strength I used to so I decided to try an electric model. It’s great. There is enough weight with the motor and chassis that this tiller does not buck like my smaller gas tiller. Even when going through layers of harder ground, I have inadvertently clipped the concrete wall surrounding my garden and did not lose control.
This works so well I decided to dig a new flower garden. Totally unworked soil. it’s doing a good job digging through this top layer of compacted soil so far.
