it works well and t is light . but it does not come with the cord to plug to the wall . so I needed to buy an outdoor cord separately. the big issue is that the majority of the cords do not fit in the machine properly!. they have made the cord space round and small on the machine but most of the cords that are in stores do not have the same round and small head.
also make sure to buy extra spinning wires ( which inserted in the orange plastic ) with your order . because they ripped soon after few times you use the machine, and need to be replaced.

After reading the mixed reviews, I was apprehensive about this purchase but am so glad I made it. I’m also very glad I decided on the CORDED version. After a recent move, I’m only responsible for taking care of my small, living-room sized back lawn. Rocky pavers in the side yard made lugging even my little push mower to the back a chore, and storage space in the garage is limited. Thus, on paper, this appeared to meet all my requirements: light enough to carry (rather than wheel) from garage to the back of the house, and very easy to store when broken apart. However, I’ve owned other B+D cordless products before (trimmer, leaf blower, hedge trimmer) and am familiar with their downsides: the batteries take a long time to charge, they have reasonable power for about 15 minutes and then slowly peter out, they need to be replaced about every two years, and forgetting to charge them is an all-too-convenient excuse to postpone yard work). So I decided to go with the less-popular corded version, and I’m very glad I did. It has about 2x to 3x the power of my B+D cordless trimmer, and of course, the power never dies out. In mower form, this product is incredibly easy to use and feels more like using a vacuum than a lawn mower. In fact, the similarities to a vacuum made it easy to keep the cord out of the way–hold the cord in one hand and push the mower with the other. The results were a low, even, professional mow that does not have the heavy wheel marks of a gas mower or the choppy quality of a push mower. Once detached from the trimmer, the mower deck can be washed off with a hose. The pieces are now hanging separately off hooks in my garage, taking up no floor space. Highly recommend.

After having it for about three years, I would give it 2 star review. It is difficult to cut through thick grass especially so evenly. It take forever and may require back in forth. Feels like vacuuming. It is very light but only 6.5 amps so not very powerful. The 2 in 1 is great for edging but for cutting grass, unless you have a very very tiny yard to cut, its too time consuming. Also it looks like a toy cause it’s tiny and the handle does not go high enough. I’m 5’3 and it is just ok for me, too small for husband. Also there are some issues with the spooling randomly at times and I have to keep cutting the plastic cord on the trimmer which is very annoying. After owning it for a while the trimmer doesmt really click on the deck like it used to so it keeps coming out. Additionally once you adjust the height of the trimmer, you are supposed to turn a plastic piece to lock it in place but after a while it doesn’t stay locked very well which is super frustrating while cutting. I am looking for a new mower.

I LOVE IT!!! If it died tomorrow, I’d buy another one in a heartbeat.

I had my doubts and thought it would be flimsy and cheap. I’m a 63 year old woman who has a lot of weed cutting to do annually for a fire break. I was tired of heavy string trimmers to haul around but afraid electric would be a pain in the tush.

When I opened the box, at first I questioned the purchase but I can honestly tell you, I’ve done more with this product than Black and Decker expected of the average purchaser. I’m cutting weeds on the hill and on the flat land. Some are up to my waist. On the shorter stuff (about knee high) I put it in the mower with wheels holder. It’s lighter to push around than my vacuum cleaner.

When it’s in the string trimmer mode, the ability to shorten (I’m 5’1″ tall) the shaft and adjust the handle takes the strain off my back and arms. Well done B&D!

The string feeds flawlessly and I’ve had no issues with it. I’ve gone through 2 1/4 reels doing about 1 2/3 acres with no mishaps. It doesn’t like thick green weeds and takes some concentration to cut through those. Remember, this is supposed to do sissy stuff like lawn trimming, lawns. light short weeds, etc., so I’m really working the poor little thing to death.

I have no problem adding extension cords in order to get the job done because it’s so darned easy and light to use. Also, I’ve hit the industrial extension cord twice with the string and it hasn’t put a dent in the outer casing.

What would I like to see in an updated version?

When you plug the cord into the handle, I’d like to see a snap, toggle, something to cover where you slip the cord in the slot so it doesn’t come undone. The plug has loosened on a few occasions. I told you I’m not gentle with it.

I’d kill to be able to swap out the string with a blade. I’d even buy a second B&D electric trimmer that had a blade if it worked like this one does. Heck, I’d put it through the ringer as a real life tester if you wanted. Hint hint B&D. LOL!

Before you buy this product imagine this scene: you are hot as f***, covered in sweat, gnats, and shame in the ruthless heat of southern Alabama. You are trying to mow your lawn. You bought this from Amazon, read some dope reviews and thought it was quite the steal. It takes you two hours. Two freaking hours to mow your lawn. You start getting frustrated from having to replug your extension chord in over and over and over, as it falls out of the port on the handle constantly. You also have to change out the nylon line 1826372 times. Your hand is raw from pushing this thing back and forth, back and forth…people point and laugh at you as they go by. You feel like a douche. You then fall into a deep depression about your life choices. Why the h*** did you move to Alabama? Why did you marry that stripper from Jerkin MeGerkins down the street? Why did you give up the dog to your ex wife? Why did you buy this cheap PoS to mow your lawn?
For just $86.14 this could be your life! Or you could just buy a real lawnmower…yeah I’d probably just do that.

The machine stopped working at the beginning of August, less than three months since I ordered it. I reported the problem to Amazon, but no response from the supplier. Almost 2 weeks past. I got to clean up the issue now. Here is the copy I wrote to the CS of Amazon.
Hi, Mike, I wait for quite a while but still no response. Is it possible to return it? I bought it less than three month, I actually just used it for less than two months cuz we hired a lawn service while our tractor was down. I actually only used 3-4 times. The material they use in the machine is weak, the key component to keep the string holder in place is a small piece of plastic. This is the broken part. I guess it should be returned and they should correct the issue in the future. Your consideration is highly appreciated
