Love it! Just push a button and easy-peasy. So happy not to deal with gasoline and oil. Even though it is smaller in size, it is a benefit because it can get into those nooks and crannies. Super powerful double batteries. The only thing that I did not like was that the bag was sorta small and I had to empty it more often. Did my front and back yard and the batteries still had juice left. Two thumbs up.

    I am very impressed…
Received around noon, assembled it ( just a few bolts to tighten), charged it (around 2h, and did my front and back lawn in 1 go. I have a pretty small grass area in the back considering that the pool takes a large part of the land, it took about 30 minutes in total. Would not recommend for large areas unless you are welling to pay for extra batteries or do it in sections between charges (am/pm or day 1/day 2).

It is also pretty quiet compared to a gas lawn mower. I could still hear the noise in the surrounding area. I am pretty noise sensitive, and it did not disturb me. Even a vacuum is louder than this lawn mower.

It cut the grass nicely, an event with all sorts of weeds mixed in the lot. I am in a bit in the countryside and the grass is not as pretty as the one you find in the city.

Just be careful, it cut the grass pretty low… I would suggest starting at a higher level and go your way down to find your right fit. Let’s say that my front lawn is pretty short right now hahaha

Other than that… I saw somewhere that to help with the lifespan of the batteries and using time, to let them get cool after you remove them from the charger and before you use them or when you are done using them to let them cool before to put them on the charger. It took about 30 minutes for me. I thought it was some great advice and if its help… Why not!

Easy to assemble – easily handles a regular sized yard. The wheels are relatively cheap plastic compared to what you might expect from a gas powered lawn mower so I expect they’ll have to be replaced at some point. It’s a bit stiff but the quiet cut and lack of gas/oil makes up for it.

I’d give it 4 starts but mine was missing the mulching attachment, which is disappointing and frankly not worth my effort to package up and initiate a return for. This is a case where buying locally might be of benefit.

First of all, I own a Scott’s 16″ reel lawmower that I’ve used for three cutting seasons and really love. But this season I decided to keep my reel mower as a spare and to try something new.

I didn’t want a gas driven mower, and I wanted to try an electric one. Electric mowers have been around for generations, and are starting to make a much deserved comeback.

But I noticed with a lot of these modern electric mowers, that they are cheaply constructed, many seem to be 90% plastic. I really wanted an old fashioned, mostly metal construction electric lawnmower.

After doing some research, I discovered this GreenWorks 18″ 12 amp corded lawnmower. I’ve used it a number of times and I’m very pleased with its performance. It weighs about 50 pounds and has a nice, solid feel to it.

I would suggest that if you order one of these, that you carefully remove it from the box and check all aspects of the machine to make sure there is no damage and that everything is working properly.

I like the fact that this mower has seven height settings to cut grass. That’s right – seven settings. The lowest setting cuts grass at 1 5/8″ and the highest at 3 1/8″. Be sure to use an extension cord that has the right amps. Anything lower than 12 amps can damage the mower. If possible, you might want to buy an orange or other brightly colored extension cord since these, at least for me, seem to be easier to see while cutting grass.

Overall, the mower is pretty quite, much quieter than most gas mowers. And I would suggest cleaning the mower after each use, but make sure the mower is unplugged for safety’s sake. Also, the handle folds forward from the middle which helps make the mower more compact and easier for storage.

I’m hoping to get a lot of grass cutting seasons out of this little green electric lawnmower.

Grass was super long..lastvyear bought battery weedwacker and leaf blower…..hate working with gas …this mower my son and I are fighting over…super easy to assemble(comes 80% assembled)…very lightweight…it is noisy but no more than gas mower…bought the 48volt…so 2 batteries….did our entire front and side yard…next time will be even easier as grass will not be long…the bag is small and easy to empty…love..love…reducing pollution and no cord are also very important…

UPDATE: I called the company and Greenworks is blaming the problem on my extension cord. That is NOT the problem. The 3rd photo is my Greenworks brand new mower at the curb for garbage pick-up.

ORIGINAL POST: Twenty minutes out of the box and this mower stopped working. I kid you not. I thought it overheated, but here the next day, it still doesn’t turn on. The blade is not jammed. Rotates freely. Not a problem with the extension cord. Now what? Throw it away? Ship it back to the manufacturer? Darn, I already recycled the box. I wish I had not bought this. At least with a gas engine there’s some hope of fixing it. But with electric? It either works or not. And right now, the mower is not working. The pics show the lawn where it stopped. This is not tough grass; just a typical Florida lawn. Very disappointed that I have not heard back from company after two business days.

Very pleased with this. I was worlds biggest skeptic. Ordered this to cut grass that needed badly to be cut a month before i got it. Grass was 6-10 inches long very healthy very thick. Had a week of rain 3 days before i cut it. Now at that high i didnt even try to mulch it. set deck height to middle setting. And the adjuster is great adjust the one side it raises them all. Usining 100ft. 16/3 10 amp ext. cord it powered through every bit as well as any 6hp or less gas mower. Even better when it got to the thick stuff cause it cant kill the electric motor like it can a gas one. and it chopped through like nothing for regular cutting this thing will be a breeze. I mulched it all on lowest setting one hour after i cut is first time and i didnt rake the yard first mulched it all and it did that nicely too. Very very very impressed with this little mower. and it weighs like 20 pounds. Super quiet. Looks kinda cheap cause of color scheme but it is solid all metal chassis with a plastic top over motor. Weel mounts and brackets everything important all metal.
Loved it. You will not be disappointed with this if you buy it. Plus totally stoked that i wont need gas or oil or to pull start it or f***k with it at all really. And that is very nice. Wheel it out plug it in press button and cut grass.

I’m so glad I got an electric lawnmower over the gas one. Using it without earplugs is the same as using a gas one with earplugs and there’s no gas smell. There are 2 things that can work better however. 1. The height gauge is off. Either that or the mechanism won’t allow mine to go to the full height. The photo I attached is the highest it can go. When it’s down to the lowest setting, it’s slightly past 1. A part that’s a little scary is that when I force it to go to the max height, the push button to lower it gets slightly stuck, so I have to move the bar slightly up and down before I can push the button. Tip: Set it slightly below max height if you need to go high.

    2. The plastic part of the bag doesn’t always sit up. You can see from the photo that it doesn’t catch onto the bar because of the handle. So, when you put the bag on and that plastic piece is slightly down, the lawnmower will blow many clippings onto your pants. I thought about cutting two slits so that the plastic will hold onto the metal bar and wrap around the handle, but I’m worried about it making things worse. Even when it was set properly, there’s still some debris blown onto you, so you’ll have to wash those pants anyway, but now you know why.

Last tip is to not store your batteries in the lawn mower especially if you store the mower outside. At the least, push the little mechanism that pushes them up and out of the locked in mode, if you’re not willing to take them out completely.

I purchased a Greenworks 48 volt 17” mower MO48B2210 on May1, 2021. One year later and the 2 – 24 volt batteries will no longer hold any charge. When brand new, I was able to mow for approximately 30 minutes before needing to charge them. Not great but acceptable—I don’t have a large yard. But this year I’ve never gotten more than 10 to 15 minutes and now, after attempting to mow 3 times so far this spring, the batteries are completely useless. I charged them fully per instructions in the manual and they have never been exposed to cold or heat.
Greenworks warrantee states that “Greenworks 24V, 40V & 48V products and batteries are protected against all defects in materials, parts or workmanship under normal use for a period of three years (90 days for commercial use) from the shipping date or in-store purchase date.”

I have tried repeatedly to contact your customer service but never got through. At 3:15 pm EST today, the message was that your customer service was closed, despite your website stating that it is open until 5pm.
