Great product, easy to use. We also use the free App that supports this product, which allows you to easily enter the results of the dip stick and get instant feedback on what and how much chemical/s should be added to help maintain the balance of your pool. This has greatly helped demystify the chemical maintenance of our pool, and has made it so easy for us. Now even the neighbours can easily look after the pool (and enjoy using it) whilst we are away on holiday knowing that the water is safe to swim in.

What can I say, they work as advertised, are fast and easy to use, and most importantly – ACCURATE. These really help me keep my pool in balance and I appreciate how easy they are to use, in fact, anyone should be able to use them with ease. All you have to do is dip the test strip into your water, wait a few seconds and then compare your strip to the colored chart on the back of the product container. It’s simple and easy to understand, nobody should have any issues with figuring it out.

I trust these strips better than other other brand I’ve tried in the past and will always buy these first if available.

I used two of these today for our small pool and both strips were identical. I now know that I need to use a bit less chlorine to keep the pool balanced correctly. I’m a first time pool owner, so everything requires a learning curve. These strips are pretty simple and straight forward to use. You dunk it in the pool entirely, pull it out and wait 15 to 30 seconds to see if what color each little pad on the strip it. Then hold it up to the back of the bottle and match the colors on the printed guide to see the results. The bottle does say it needs to be stored indoors rather than in the container outside by the pool like your chlorine tabs and other supplies.

This is the ONLY spa test kit you need! Having used the one that came with my Lay-z-spa start kit and then trying a cheaper price version (although still by bestway) I sent it all back and swapped to these bad boys! The reading is always accurate and you get many more for your money. Please it puzzles me why Lay-z-spa fail to make you full aware of the importance of the stabilizer needed to balance the spa. This test strip has a reading for it that the other tests didn’t and I then purchased a pot of powder to go with it and have had a much better balanced spa since.

These are the only strips I trust. I have used many others and I have a Taylor testing kit. These are not pefect. But by calibrating with my testing kit I am able to get very close to where things should be with these strips. Other strips seem to vary between batches and even strip to strip in the same package. Not these. Always solid.

Do keep in mind that these strips are testing for free chlorine and not total chlorine. Yes, your pool might stink of chlorine, but only free chlorine is useful for killing any new things that enter your pool/spa.

The pH level will never look like the color chart. But if you memorize the colors well enough you will be able to know what is needed without the chart.

For those of you with vinyl hottubs I suggest adding a tiny amount of calcium to your water to get things to level out if you are having big swings with pH and total alkalinity. A small amount of Cyanuric Acid (CYA) can also help. It is usually a component of chlorine tablets you put into the bobber. However, too much CYA will make your chlorine so stable it won’t bind with anything. If your reading is getting too high, switch to pure coloring you buy in a gallon bottle. It looks like bleach, but doesn’t have any of the additives. Just a little calcium and CYA goes a long way!

Have tried a lot of brands and I must say this is the only one worth buying. I found out about these reading other reviews – ordered a pack and within the first test realised that I had been wasting time and money on the other brands – the only downside is the price – far too expensive for a few strips of paper but there is nothing I can do about that other than moan ……!

For the past 28 years I have checked our pool’s water using reagents. We’ve never had any major problems, and I attributed that success to a sensitive liquid kit and diligent upkeep. Not too long ago a friend stopped by—he owns a local pool and supply company. He casually asked how we checked our water. When I told him, he laughed and asked why when there are much quicker and just as accurate test strips available. He specifically suggested I give these a try.

Having worked in a laboratory, I was highly skeptical of test strips in general, but after using these, I’m eating crow. Accuracy is top-notch and how nice that four tests are done in just 15 seconds. What I really like is a full description how to correct problems should pH, free chlorine, total alkalinity or stabilizer be out of normal range. The product insert that comes with the strips is invaluable.

Don’t wait 28 years to change the way you check your pool’s water conditions. These truly deserve five stars. After repeatedly comparing the strips to reagent testing, I’m convinced they work just as well, are definitely a quicker testing method and in the long run, cheaper to purchase each summer season. By the way, Amazon’s prices were several dollars cheaper than anywhere I could buy them locally. Included is a photo of AquaChek’s water chemistry guide and treatment tables.

This is one of the most accurate strip tests you can buy. It is fast, accurate, and easy to read. There is only one better and it is the pool master 6 way test which also includes total chlorine/bromine vs just free chlorine like this test.( it also includes better plastic strips not paper) Once your chlorine levels are in range just having free chlorine is fine. When you are low you need to see the total chlorine as well because free chlorine does not even show up and if it does it goes away fast. Knowing what the total chlorine level is helps accurately add more chlorine which this test does not have. The pool master test and this test are always identical they both are very accurate and repeatable. I prefer the pool master but I also like to have a bottle of these as well. It is much cheaper to use test strips often to to burn through all your chemicals guessing.
*** I tried over 7 other brands of test strips all highly rated on Amazon. NONE of them were anything close to as good as the two mentioned above. They may of been good for half the test but the other half they were terrible. I have no need to buy any other test strips other than pool master 6 and this aqua check. Also having a test strip that is repeatable and accurate save so much time and money.

** the biggest thing I learned with taming cloudy water is low chlorine levels are likely the cause as long as your ph is in range. I use to be so timid on adding too much chlorine but over time I realized how quickly it lowers and needs to be frequently added anyway. In a spa aim for 5ppm chlorine as it will only lower from there. Most strips say 3-5 some say 1-3 but that is for pools not spas. Good luck.

Been taking care of my pool for over a decade and I love using these because they are consistently accurate and so easy to use. It makes it super easy to show friends that stay at our house while we are on vacation. Just dip the strip and compare to the images on the back. There are probably more accurate ways to test your pool water but using these, with NoMor Problems and DE filter, I have extremely clear and clean pool water with very little effort. Definitely worth the price.

Just compared the new strip (left) and my current aquachek strip (right). As you can see there is a marked difference between the chlorine and cyanuric acid stabilizer readings.
    So which one is correct?

Easy to use, at the end of the day it’s a dip stick test system. 3 areas seem to record fine but the chlorine never shows up – even after chucking a heap of it in the pool (so much my eyes sting)….still says no.
Went on reviews as most were positive but would stay away from this brand in future. Just not reliable, so returning for a refund.
