Lenovo makes great laptops. This is my second. The first is 12 years old and a thinkpad. Upgraded the memory and it still runs like a champ.

The build quality is excellent, as is the display. Performance is solid as well, however some reviews have incorrectly stated that the RAM is upgradable. It is not, however the SSD is, which is what those reviews likely meant. This laptop has excellent Linux support as well, and installing my preferred distro was no issue. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a durable, reliable laptop with plenty of ports and that’s lightweight. The only downside is the touch screen, and this is a personal preference — I’d strongly have liked a matte, non-touch option to reduce glare. I bought the first gen model and gave it to my mother last year, and after playing with it a little while prior, I liked it enough that this year’s second-gen model was an easy buy for me.

Excellent laptop for the price. It has everything one needs. Quality built with lots of small details that other models/brands are lacking. Upgradable RAM is a big plus too. Reminds me of my old R40 that I still have. My teenage son gave up his latest model MacBook Air after testing this new ThinkPad out for a few minutes, lol. Excellent job Lenovo, please keep the ThinkPad line alive!
