product has the power when I need it, dewalt has produced some of the vest tools I have worked with and I am happy with my decision.
Tool1 –
Mostly happy with this drill. Has plenty of power. Speed is good. Nice weight and size. Comfortable to use. Down side is I didn’t know it doesn’t have a bit holder. This is an optional accessory.
Not so sure it’s made in usa. Bag has a big patch on outside that says made in usa then inside says made in asia.

I had $150 worth of Home Depot gift cards from last Christmas and my birthday in May (my family knows what to get me). I held off using them until I figured out what I really wanted. I decided to spend them on this DeWalt oscillating tool as I will be helping my son renovate a 1930s house this fall/winter and I know sometimes there are oddball times when we’ll need something like this. I liked that it was brushless, which should save on battery life and that you don’t need a special tool to change blades. I already had 2 batteries for my DeWalt cordless drill, so I saved some money buying the tool only. It came with 2 blades, a bi-metal blade and an HSC blade (?) apparently good for wood. I wanted to repair the brick moulding trim on my garage door by cutting out the rotten area and cutting a new piece to fit instead of replacing the whole piece. So I cut out the bottom 10″ with this oscillating tool without removing the trim on each side of the door (see photo). It cut right thru and it was nice to be able to control the speed with the trigger. It has a lot of power if you really squeeze the trigger! It was easy to control, too, and I got a nice clean even cut along my pencil line. The only neg I had was that the handle that you squeeze to change the blade is right where you want to hold onto the tool to make your cut. This might cause problems (broken blade maybe?) if you accidentally squeeze it too hard while you’re cutting. I realized what I was doing and put my hand beneath the lever after that. Just something to be aware of. Maybe DeWalt could possibly come up with another way to keep the release out of the way when you’re using the tool. All in all, though, despite its cost, I think I have added a good tool to my arsenal.

This tool has been used in every room of our house. Whenever we need something to fit better like wood or tile flooring under a door frame or need to cut into a wall to add a socket or light fixture, we rely on this tool. BUT … get a load of this … we have worked so very hard removing all the layers of wallpaper off walls and it has been tedious until we tried using this multi tool. WOW! What a difference! It gets right under that very well made and durable 60’s and 70’s wallpaper and separates it from the drywall with ease. It doesn’t even destroy the wallpaper, we can save large samples for posterity!

Oh wow. I made some shutters for the house and at first, I got the Ryobi jigsaw as I had some batteries for my outside tools. It was unacceptable (see pics). It didn’t feel right in the hand and the blade guide was more like a suggestion for the saw. This is a great “precision” cutting device for certain applications. This tool was part of my decision to move to the DeWalt platform along with an excellent sale price with battery. I highly recommend although there are two more jigsaw options that I understand are as good including a barrel grip and the “brushed” older version that is well loved. This is a high quality tool. Don’t hesitate to buy.

This combo was a great deal with the 5ah battery. This is my first XR drill and you can feel the power difference compared to the regular Dewalt Max drills. I think three settings for the led light is kind of a funny feature, but hey maybe one day I’ll need to adjust it! The bag now has a sweet rubber “Made in the USA” logo which is cool.

I had the Rigid oscillating equivalent that I used very often for various uses and it broke on me in the middle of a job. I use an attachment called a Qbit that allows me to cut a perfect rectangle in drywall to insert a retro single or double gang electrical box, or low voltage (HDMI or CAT6) plate.
The rest of my tools are dewalt so I decided to buy this and wow is it ever stronger and better built. The mechanism for changing blades and parts is strong and firm. I put this tool to good use everytime and it handles jobs like a beast. Five stars!!!

I really wanted to be able to attach a sanding pad to the oscillating tool but the chuck is far too deep for any attachment! I’ve tried the Dwalt brand Universal Fitment Oscillating sanding pad and the Dremel; neither worked! Is there a sanding tool on the market that works with the DCS354? Not that I can find. I’m so bummed because it would have been perfect for sanding tight spots.
