I’ve always been one of those people that’s said “I can’t draw, I’m not good at it” but I quickly realized that I wasn’t really using the right tools for the job and this drawing pad made a world of difference to me. This paper is super smooth and almost glossy which I love, I can get nice smooth lines and gradients without too much trouble and blending is a breeze.
Before I bought this drawing pad I just thought “Well, it’s just drawing paper, any paper is good drawing paper” NO, how could I be so naive? Buy yourself a good spiral bound sketch pad like this one and you’re good to go. Set yourself up with the right tools for the job and you will be amazed at what you can do. You don’t need the best, I’m not saying you should go out and spend ten million dollars on a drawing pad and then you’ll be able to draw anything but you do need something that works well. I am very satisfied with my purchase of this drawing pad.

This states that is can be used with pens and not markers, but it has a heavy tooth and brush pens work poorly on this. Markers bleed a bit. Also it’s a yellow color and not close to white as it state “natural white” but that is bit misleading if you go off of the item cover dirty pics some form of drawing on it, and that is it white . Will be returning and getting Canson.

For pencil and charcoal sketching, it’s fine. I expected it to be more robust, though. The paper seems flimsy and thin compared to other multi media sketch books I’ve bought in stores. I live in a humid climate, and the paper already has rippling, although I haven’t even used it yet. Recommend storing it flat with something to weight it down and reduce the tendency to ripple. For the price, it’s a worthwhile buy. But don’t expect presentation quality paper. It’s not robust enough for watercolors and ink.

It is thick-ish paper, so if you are the type that likes trace drawing it would not work too well. For other artists that like casual or advanced sketching, it is the same quality of the more expensive ones at the art or craft stores. I reccommend it. Haven’t found and blemishes and it’s a solid pad.

A very recommended buy for those who’re into drawing.It’s a very great product,and makes it VERY EASY to erase to erase pencil lines and smudges,including the hard smudges and dark pencil lines,as well.Art paper works wonderfully with Prismacolor Premier coloring pencils,and the Prismacolor Premier inking markers.The paper doesn’t leak thru with inking markers or Coptic makers.

I’ve been buying sketch pads and drawing pads for 30+ years. I use them daily as a graphic artist, sketching, notes, brainstorming …and they have to be opaque enough to take digital shots of so you can import the images into Illustrator or other. Various art stores, various brands. Usually at art stores, these 100 sheet pads are around $15-$17 and up. So to get two for $20 ($10ea) is a great deal. Pads are same quality as other brands. The only way a reviewer would give anything less than 5-stars ✭ ✭ ✭ ✭ ✭ they must not be artists who know what they’re getting. Or maybe they made a mistake and thought they were buying Drawing pads, which generally have slightly thicker paper and maybe a touch higher quality (simply bcz of the thickness). So that would be my only note to anyone ordering these. These are Sketch pads. If you want drawing pads with slightly thicker paper, you’ll have to find those. I believe this same brand has them.

I ordered these pads thinking that they were as nice as the other pads I have gotten. What I got was cheap white paper. Not 60 lb paper. It’s heavier this paper is cheap white paper. I am not happy with the paper at all. I can’t paint on it or do what I need to do with it so I may just use as junk paper.

Decide after you open the shrink wrap. Great for sketchers I guess I still like heavier paper than this.

I actually got these for my grandkids to draw on. They are a very artistic bunch and these pads are the same quality I used in college. I love the top spiral binding which makes it easy to flip the pages and draw or paint all the way to the left and right margins. These are fabulous and I’ll be ordering again when these are used up.
