This cooking thermometer is so cool..It has a nice long probe for larger cuts of meat and when inserted the temp. begins registering very quickly. I ordered 2 as the price was so good. Love the tube packaging as you can store the thermometer and the extra battery in it taking up almost no space.

THe digital readout is perfect and easy to read, the handle placement is good, and the value was terrific. I searched in several stores after receiving the product and found that the same product was far more expensive should I have bought it retail. Great buy.

The old adage remains steadfastly true with this product… “You get what you pay for.” This is NOT an “instant read” thermometer. It is painfully slow and does not provide instant readings. In my tests, I found that it could take several minutes before the probe adjusted to the correct temperature. The probe isn’t any faster than a traditional style thermometer. This may be OK for some applications but for BBQ or grilling, it simply isn’t fast enough to provide accurate readings. In the case of grilling, the meat temperature may rise by a significant amount before the probe provides an accurate reading. I would recommend avoiding this product and spending some extra money on a probe that has faster and more accurate readings.

Was really excited with the price on these units. But the calibration for the temperature on these units was at least 5 to 10 degrees off. I compared it to inexpensive thermometer and the temperature reading comes nowhere near an accurate one. Save your money and spend a little extra to keep yourself from getting food poisoning from undercooked food

This one surprised me. The temperature probe felt a little thin but it actually works like a thermometer should. It gave me the temp in a reasonable amount of time. Only used it a few times since purchase.
