This is a beautiful unit. Be careful and layout the underneath area to take into consideration the regulator and all fittings needed for the cleanest most functional layout. We had a bit of trouble getting the top drawer to fit. We are having a bit of trouble with the center burner staying on at any setting below 4. The red LED under the control knobs is very useful in indicating that it is turned on.

Then the cheap plastic knobs started to break. As a cooktop goes it works well, the igniters have no problems the flames are consistent to the setting. We used softscrub to clean some of our messes and put some light scratches into the stainless, but nothing that make the cook area look bad.
After about a year the first of the knobs broke. They are made of plastic. At first the wife thought I was just to rough and blamed me. We went online and ordered a replacement at 25.00 per knob!
A few months later, the second knob broke, within a few more months all 5 of the original knobs had broken. By the time the last of the original knobs had been tossed into the garbage the stenciling for the flame / on / off was starting to wear off. Not too bad, but not something that you would expect for a cooktop that was being babied with softscrub and a sponge in its first 2 years of service.
To cut to the chase over the last 3 + years we have had to purchase 10 knobs (again at 25.00 each), and are currently using the stove with only 2 working knobs. Yep we need to buy new ones again, at this point we are throwing in the towel and will be purchasing something with metal knobs.
(We also have an LG electric double convection oven that was purchased at the same time as this gas cook top. It has performed perfectly over the years with no issues, so its not all LG products that are junk, just their gas cooktops)

I had it for little over a year. It works well and easy to use. Highly recommend it.

This was highly recommended in the store. I love the burners, but it is impossible to clean the stainless steel. I use Wieman stainless steel cleaner and it streaks and smudges badly. It worked great on my GE cooktop for many years. This stainless steel seems to be inferior. It also streaks on my LG refrigerator, but it never did on my GE refrigerator. There seems to be a problem with the quality of the stainless steel itself.

Love the fire power for this stove. Simple to use and it was a very nice touch that the knobs light up red when in use!

It’s ok. Nothing special. The turbo burner is already scratched up. Shoes finger prints.

This cooktop is definitely a cut above any base models. Especially like the power boiler and the positioning of the five burners.

This was installed in our home on July 13, 2020 (purchased 2/15/20 because of President’s Day sale) which is only about 6 months ago. We use our cooktop around 5 times per week. It already has serious scratches near the knobs and the writing is already wearing off. LG sent their preferred vendor to our home to look at this issue and they said that this is not covered under the warranty because it is “cosmetic”. Cosmetic issues are only covered for one month. I’m sorry but an appliance that cost $1,100 should not scratch this easily or already have the writing wearing off. We are not a professional kitchen so it’s not like the cooktop is on 18 hours per day. I feel like the only way to get LG’s attention is to write this public review.
