This pendant lamp worked out perfect for a dark library corner. The long plug-in cord allowed me to, using swag hooks and small pulleys, make an adjustable height swag lamp to light the, otherwise, dark corner. A plug in dimmer switch makes it possible to turn the light on and off- and control the lights intensity, from a nearby desk. You can probably find a cheaper lamp with a similar design but, if you want to use it as a swag lamp, you will, most likely, have to modify the wiring. I highly recommend this lamp- especially if you want to use it as a swag lamp.

Love the light but the colored paint flecks hardly show at all, and there are very few.
