We have been making smoothies for years. This is by far the best blender we’ve used by far. We use the Auto iQ bowl setting to make thicker smoothies. Turns out perfect every time. Fast and effortless! Highly recommend!

Back story: I didn’t realize how much I’d taken for granted my prior blender, a beast from Farberware that could power through anything and had super solid construction…or so I thought. The jar collar cracked a couple of years ago, and when I tried to replace it, I learned the model had been discontinued and parts were not available. I looked for a replacement blender then, but I couldn’t find anything that seemed to fit the bill. So I used industrial epoxy and fixed the crack, and all was good for over a year.
Alas, the inevitable occurred. The epoxy failed, and I had to consign the old Farberware to the landfill. (Actually, the garage, which is my appliance and electronics graveyard.) I started my search anew, but had a hard time finding a blender that would also play well with the other black-and-stainless gadgets on my pantry shelf. I ordered one anonymous monstrosity because of its looks and purported power, then immediately returned it when it left large shards of ice in my margarita (after having blown out my eardrums). (Note so self: no more unrated Amazon products.)
I needed a blender. So I looked again and landed on this one, even though I was leery of the plastic pitcher. Y’all, this thing is giant! I’m usually making drinks or recipes for one. However, I performed the litmus test (hello, margarita), and even with one serving, this thing performed admirably. Plus, it came with a recipe book and a little brush thingie for the disgusting things the dishwasher might miss.
I won’t lie; it’s loud. I wonder if that’s because of the plastic (vs. glass) pitcher. But my dog and I can hide while it’s working, because you pre-set it and go. It does all the speed-shifting magic for you, once you choose the setting.
It remains to be seen how it does with anything other than margaritas or post-workout smoothies, but honestly, that’s all I’ve ever used a blender for anyway. This one has a dough hook though…and I’m a big sourdough snob…who knows? Hard to imagine consigning my whole rye sourdough starter to this chunk of plastic, but maybe I’ll try something more pedestrian.
Meanwhile, can you tell I’m enjoying my margarita while I write this review?

I am returning this to get the 1400 watts Ninja! I believe a little more power would be Perfect!!!
I will add to review after I receive & we will add Pics
At 1200 Watts this is powerful good thing it has suction cups to stay on counter. I blended on iq Smoothie twice. First time it didn’t chop all frozen fruit. This Smoothie was so Smooth no bits of Kale Best I ever had! Whipped up a batch of Sugar Cookies. Used a rubber spatula to push done dough 2 times. This did a good job. It was a plus not having to take out mixer & bowl. Blender is out & on the counter. So not a selling feature a definite Bonus.
I Love that you can try things on Amazon & send back if not satisfied!
I am coming from a personal cup Ninja 900 watts! This lasted 6 months before it stopped chopping up my kale. Of course warranty on this was only 6 months! I had a Nutribullet before this only 600 watts that lasted a year.
I use at least twice a day!!!

Recently, my old school blender crapped out on me so I figured it was time for a new one anyway because my old one did a terribly job at blending smoothie bowls. I spent a lot of time researching the best blender and came across this one advertised for smoothie bowl even going so far as to having a bowl option on the menu. It was a little pricey, but I figured if it does the job then it’s worth it.
When I got it I didn’t realize how huge it was in comparison to my old one. That isn’t a problem for me at all especially it I’m making smoothie bowls for more than one person.
When I tested it, as other reviewers stated, it is pretty loud but honestly what blender isn’t? And if it gets the job done then who cares about noise.
Boy did it get the job done though. I like really thick smoothie bowls so I didn’t have to run the bowl option 3 times to get it to blend.
As opposed to my old blender where I would have to stop it every 10 seconds to push everything down, I only have to do it once with this blender and everything gets blended.
Very impressed and I hope it lasts me a while!

Blender works great so far. Used for smoothies, little bit of food processing and cookie batter so far. All worked perfectly. Easy to clean. Threw some water and soap inside and turned on the blender, boom all clean.

Major design flaw were food and liquid entering handle and molds. You can’t clean

So I bought this for my roommate. He likes to make a smoothie with bananas, ice, protein powder, and peanut butter powder. His older one would always have chunks of ice and his smoothies were a mess. Now though, it is like getting a frosty from Wendy’s only better. I highly recommend if nothing else, for the smoothies. It also has little suckers for feet so it won’t move around while mixing. It is pretty noisy though, so if people are trying to sleep, they will wake up. This is something I would think businesses use to make their smoothies. Also, the lid locks down! if you have an older model, I would consider upgrading to this if your smoothies aren’t very smooth.

We just got our Ninja and have used it 3 or 4 times. However last night we put it in the dishwasher and the handle gets wet inside. I’m assuming this may be a mold issue after awhile. I’m going to contact the company to see what they say. This may be a returnable problem for me. Other than that we really like it so I’m hoping there’s a solution.

Has lots of expectations on the machine. But it has no reactions, buttons NOT working. A defective one, must return.

This machine works great. Kids don’t even know the smoothies have good stuff in them they just drink em down. IQ function is simple and it does it’s thing for you

funciona excelente la licuadora. tal vez un poco fuerte el ruido del motor.
no me gusta que despues de lavar el vaso la humedad se queda en el asa del vaso y eso puede generar hongos.

Love making my smoothie bowls in it!

To the reviews complaining of injury because they didn’t realize that the blades aren’t fixed, don’t blame Ninja, they’ve done all they can to warn you, short of a Singing Telegram.
