Great product gives good protection when holding it on my hand. However not sure how it will perform if it is dropped.
The case is easy to fit and easy to open if you know how to open it first. The button area are quite weak not a strong part.

Honest review, I had a commuter when I first bought my X. This is a a knock off or something. The TPU feels differ and it does not fit the phone. I have bought all my otters cases through Verizon and they fit snug and true. This is a joke and a waste of my time. My phone would be lucky to stay in the case while it sits in my pocket. This review is legit and do not waste your time

Case is good quality, it has a smooth texture so it slides in/out of pocket nicely. Grip is decent but their silicone cases are easier to hold. I do find the edge pops off the phone on occasion when bumped. My previous Otterbox was more “locked” in and it didn’t come apart easily. This one may pop out from time to time just on the corner though.

I had never dropped my phone before this drop, I’m sure no one will believe that but it is true. Have had this case on my phone since March. I drop it from a short ladder roughly 5-6ft from the ground and the entire back is now shattered. Don’t believe the “Otterbox Certified Drop+ Protection” claim it says in the case because clearly it did not protect my phone. I’ve always trusted Otterbox in my previous devices but I can no longer say that I trust them, and suggest everyone else looks elsewhere for their cases.

Très satisfait de mon achat. J’utilise depuis 9 mois et pas de problème avec ce produit. J’ai échappé mon IPhone X flambant neuf et il est demeuré sain et sauf… pas une crack 🙂

This was a great case for first few months. After that the case became loose fitting. Definitely not as per expected.

So far this case has been great with the exception of a few things. I find it’s very durable and doesn’t scratch easily. However, the plastic on the sides doesn’t allow for my car phone mount to grip the phone properly, thus resulting on it sliding off. Also, the rubber seems to be glued on the corners as one of them is coming undone slightly. Again, minor issues, probably from the continuous in and out of my pockets.
I’ve had 2 drops with this case and so far no damage.

I bought this case because I had the same one for my iPhone 6s and it worked with a new baby so well. My baby would throw it and drop it all the time and nothing ever happened. For years I didn’t have one crack. I got the new iphone XS two weeks ago and just a few days into using this case the screen is cracked. You can tell that this case isn’t as good as the older version of the same model because it doesn’t come up as high around the sides of the screen so it can’t provide as much protection. I’m not sure why otter box changed their design for the commuter but I am returning this and paying to get my screen fixed :(((((

The case is sleek and elegant, but I was disappointed by its durability. The rubber came loose in the top right corner within a couple months. When I did drop my phone on accident, my screen shattered from that corner with the loose rubber. Luckily OtterBox was nice enough to send me a replacement without the issue and my phone was under warranty. Save your money and buy from the official website, and if you want extra protection, get the Defender series.

Dropped my phone walking my dog and the corner cracked. Dropped my phone once again a few months later and the entire screen cracked. When I considered buying this I was hesitant because it’s not as protective as other otter box cases. The case really should have a little more of a border so that the screen and edges are better protected.

I owned a lot of otter box cases before and this one looks and feels fake. It’s so thin that idk what it can protect, I’d be afraid to drop my phone in this. Rubber feels cheese, plastic looks too shiny, everything is off about this case. It also came without otter box plastic cover as well at plain carton box. Will be returning

Honestly not Otterbox’s best. The fit of the rubber gasket on the top edges of the phone is very poor and there is a noticeable gap between the edge of the phone and the gasket. I have the Commuter on several of my iPhones and the build quality is quite noticeable between them. With just a push of a finger, the gasket will come loose due to the fit. My last iPhone X ended up cracking it’s screen since the gasket would flex enough upon impact, allowing the edge of the phone to hit the surface (Despite having a glass screen protector on, as I do with almost all of my iPhones). To show you what I mean, I did a video on fit on my X, XR, 11, 6 Plus, and SE, all with the Commuter, and all with a screen protector save for the 6 Plus. The Commuter for the X was by the far worst of all of them. I’ve trusted the Otterbox Commuter for all of my phones from my 6 to my 11 to my Galaxy S8, but it looks like I’ll be going with a different brand entirely, at least for the iPhone X.

Pros :
– Easy to install
– Very tough and good protection ALL around the phone
– High edges around the screen offer good protection
– Sides of the case offer ok grip (was better on the supcase)
– Back of the case offers ok grip (was better on the supcase)
Cons :
– Awfully bulky!!! That case doubles the thickness of my iPhone XS
– High rubber edges all around the screen make swiping from the edge of the phone more difficult
– The rubber layer is very loose each side of the phone where the buttons are
– No filter screen to protect speakers from dust and debris (the case is so thick at the bottom Otterbox could have easily put filter screens in).
– Expensive
Is it pleasant / comfortable to use? No not at all. But it does offer very good protection for my 1,500$ iPhone. So I’ll keep it for now. Until I find a better case.
