The Mini Figure 4 Pack contains 4 Mini Figures from the new upcoming Space Jam movie. This set includes four characters with one being a surprise. Two of the characters are all painted and look really nice. (LeBron James, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, etc.)
Then there is one exclusive character in a transparent blue and/or purple. Depending on the set you get. There are 22 characters in all, this is Series 1.
Each character is around 2” tall and the surprise character is individually wrapped so it’s a surprise.
The characters are small and most cannot stand on their own. They come with little half basketballs and have tabs on the top to hold the characters who have small holes in their feet.
Since most of the characters cannot stand on their own, it was a little frustrating for the kids. They tried playing with them but soon realized they need the stands to stay up.

The new Space Jam movie is on the horizon, and the new figures are now hitting the market. Even though technology has improved to make figures more exciting for kids, there could be improvements.
Pros:
You get four figures in this pack — the one I received had Daffy Duck, LeBron James, and a translucent pink Lola Bunny. The fourth figure is a bonus figure, wrapped in opaque black baggie, unknown to the purchaser what you will get. The figures are very recognizable for cartoon fans and NBA fans. Each figure is well painted, and each comes with a basketball to stand on. Twenty-two figures to collect, so there are a lot to collect.
Cons:
So, most of these are manufacturing/design issues. First, I really wished that the could have made the card backing look like a basketball court. Second, I like how most of the figures have two holes on the bottom of the figure so you can have them on the basketball stand. Only problem is one of the two nubs that the holes are placed on are noticeable. I feel they could have just made one nub so that the figure can be displayed well. Lastly, the package is really flimsy, but for it to be easy for children to crack into, this could also be a bonus.
Outside of the pros and cons, these are already a great start to introducing new fans and showcasing the movie’s characters quite well.
Charmin’ Farmer –
I’m happy with these for the kids to play with, but if I were a collector it would be a little disappointing. There just isn’t enough sturdiness, but that’s alright for play. The figures aren’t a bad price at $12.99 for the four pack, and they serve the purpose as the movie is just coming out. I wanted to get these as a bit of an exciting gift for everyone when we saw the debut.
The figures don’t have any movement, but they’re still fun for the kids to move around and play pretend with. They are made well enough, and I haven’t noticed any major paint chipping. I can say, I don’t care a ton for the translucent toned ones, and my nephew keeps asking me why they are the way they are, but I can’t complain too much considering they’re just over $3 per mini fig. I do enjoy the full color best, and it seems the kids do as well. The display is also cute in the play room. I’d get these again, although I wish they were all full color and that the mystery figure offered more variety. I received a Taz in our pack.

Our Little Girl and I had been playing with plenty of different toys from this new series already. As a toddler, this was probably her least favorite out of everything, but they’re nice for display purposes. You get figurines for King James, Lola, Daffy, and our mystery character was Taz. I liked the detail on the figurines that weren’t translucent, I actually think they should have just stuck to using the normal colors for all of the characters. There’s no “game” or function where they can interact, so you’re mostly just getting these for display purposes. Our Daughter and I just make them be spectators while we’re playing the shooting game or the LeBron dunk game (she calls the smaller LeBron figurines from different sets the “Little Brothers” to the full size Bron Bron figures).
Not really sure why people who requested these toys for free are giving them less than five stars, when they clearly aren’t even removing the toys from their packaging. And also don’t seem to be collectors, either. If you aren’t the target audience for this set (diehard b-ball fan or King James aficionados), not sure why someone would order it, let alone give it a review under five stars. If you like hoops, think James is the GOAT (or at least top three), or your kid does, then just order it. But keep in mind that they’ll just be sitting on a shelf or desk somewhere, and not really “used.”

Naturally there are toy tie-ins for films like the upcoming Space Jam: A New Legacy. These 2″ figure packs offer kids the chance to grab four figures all at once but there’s not much that you can do with them. These are statically postured figures that come with half basketball stands. They’re nice to look at for the most part but the paint applications could be better.
The set that I received includes a Lebron James figure, Daffy Duck, Lola Bunny in “Power Up” mode (essentially a pink translucent figure), and one mystery figure that is supposedly a rare collectible. I won’t ruin the surprise as to which figure I received, but I’d be interested to know if others received the same figure as I did.
I don’t believe that youngsters will get much playability out of these minifigures. I’m sure that they’ll sell, but the larger action figures are definitely the way to go.
