I got this for my 4 year old daughter because she saw it on TV and I’m a sucker for a good deal. The directions for opening were very clear and the thing tore itself out of the box much like the chest bursting scene from “Alien” while barking incessantly. It took me a few minutes to remove it from the platform it came on as there was a wire shoved up its rear end to hold it in place that wouldn’t let the creature go. My daughter fell in love with “Princess” immediately. I had immediate buyer’s regret. There is no volume control. Just on and off. It is loud so if noises bother you don’t buy one. If you’re looking for a good gift to give someone else’s child as revenge this is a great idea. The game mode where the child repeats the dog’s barking and whining back to it will be sure to test the most patient person. I almost threw it out the window until I instituted a ban on the devil dog being on while in the car.

I actually bought this toy for my dog that loves moving toys. Yes, a little pricey for a dog toy but she loves it. She’s a Corgi (small dog) and is only allowed to play with it when I’m present as of course you should always supervise a dog when they’re playing with toys to ensure they don’t chew/swallow something that could hurt them. Now having said that, she’s tough on her toys and most don’t last long but we’ve had this one over a month and she hasn’t been able to destroy it!! It still works like it’s brand new and she plays with it daily. Other cheaper moving toys she’s destroyed the movement in them but this one still works like it did from day one. So many movements & sounds to keep her entertained. I was going to get her another one (after having it for a week) as I figured she’d destroy it in no time but again, it’s still going strong. I will definitely order another one if she ever destroys this one.

I think this toy would be perfect for any child and again, I’ve had no issues with any parts/sounds not working.

To the reviewer that stated it just barks, note that the toy must be removed from the base for all movement. This confused me initially as there are no instructions on how to remove the base or that you even need to remove it. There are a quite a few screws holding it to the base (which enables it to break free from the box) so for full enjoyment of this toy remove it from the base and it will walk & has various movements. Base & parts securing the toy to the base can then be disposed of.

This puppy is SO loud! It’s painful to listen to. My daughter likes it .. but I wish I could return it. It gives me a headache and I can’t be in the same room when she’s playing with it.
It was fun to watch it punch through the box. But, it’s torture to listen to!

I thought that this little pup was a little more than I would want to spend on a toy. But she is ADORABLE!!! The unboxing is quite the experience and my 8 year old daughter is getting many hours of playtime out of her. She is so very soft, and would be the perfect gift!

This was a Christmas gift for my little girl! Because the box was so damaged the Present pet did not do what it was supposed to do and brake out of the box. Not sure it has 100 sounds but it is cute and my little girl loved the pet that she got but was a bit unhappy that it did not brake it self out of the box like seen on TV!

My daughter loves everything about her birthday gift, from the little puppy pawing it’s way out to being able to interact with the little pup. Best buy ever!!!

The product is adorable other then the weird hole in its butt. My issue is with amazon. They didn’t put it in a box to ship it. It arrived damaged.

I reviewed this toy shortly after opening it on Christmas, but now I have to change my review. Initially, this toy was amazing and my daughter loved it. Now, it won’t bark at all and is kind of spazzing. I’ve changed the batteries but nothing helps. It has been less than a month that my daughter has been able to play with this dog. Very disappointing, especially considering the price.

The dog is supposed to unbox itself and mine attempted to but could not finish by itself… not sure why.. which was disappointing. The dog also had some stitching on top of the head that is coming loose and requires me to exchange it.. also it should have a volume control. It wasn’t easy to get off its pedestal package.
Update: I exchanged it and the new dog has a small hole in the head that my previous one had and another reviewer showed in their picture. Sadly I don’t think I would repurchase since it is reoccurring.

I couldn’t believe this thing was $50+! But my child thought anything that can unbox itself was definitely worth a month of chore money. Well Life is full of disappointment. And this was definitely one of them. The most exciting part was the box moves and shakes a bit then suddenly a few holes pop out and you get a peek of the critter inside… but then, nothing. The gear mechanism controlling the “unboxing” malfunctioned and just kept grinding and grinding and the unboxing didn’t happen. We had to punch the rest of the holes out ourselves and that basically defeated the whole purpose. Now that the critter is out, there’s nothing exciting about it that other voice activated toys don’t do, and don’t cost so much!
