This little “Halo” light is 4” in diameter. About 5/8” thick and the white translucent ring area 1”wide.
Two mounts come with the product. The plastic slide on grip is designed to clamp on to the top of a laptop computer for use to illuminate your face when on a video call. It’s easily removed and the mini flexible 3 leg tripod can be attached instead. Handy if you desire to use this light in a self standing position for uses other then a computer.
Push button controls are easy. Four buttons on a single plastic rectangular box. The bottom button controls the led color much like the same colors used on LED light bulbs. Soft white, natural, bright and cool bluish tint. Next button up is power on and off.
The next two buttons are for up and down features. They control the brightness of the light for any of the color choices in lighting that is selected.
A Blue led glows in this box showing that the USB A male connector is plugged into any standard USB power source of 5 volts DC.
The standout feature of this Ring Light is that it has ten different levels of light brightness. The user can select just the right amount of light brightness intensity they desire.
I use my ring light over my iMac desktop computer. In my case because of the thickness of the computer screen, the laptop accessory won’t grip the screen panel thickness. No room to stand the light so I rigged up the light to be supported by rubber bands to my power strip on a shelf above my computer. My Zoom call had me bright and clear thanks to the needed light produced by this product. Not expensive and easy to use. Recommended.
UPDATE: After receiving my first Ring Light, my wife was so jealous, I had to buy a second one just for her.
Found an additional use for these lights. If you own a portable battery you use as a phone charger, these lights can provide useful general lighting for dark areas on a table during camping. Light weight, easy to pack and takes up very little space.

If you are in need of better lighting when using your webcam, this light is good to have in your laptop virtual meeting toolkit. In a dark room this casts enough light on you at it’s two lowest settings to make it so that your webcam picks up your face and features clearly. I found that the highest settings were way too bright to use for my needs. It has different color lighting modes to suit your preferences. I preferred the blue/cool lighting mode over the warm color mode. The clip that it comes with is only going to be useful on newer laptops where the screen is not too thick. If you have an older laptop with a thicker screen or a desktop screen, you will need to use the versatile and handy tripod that the light comes with.

If you are looking to improve the look of your online video conferencing some sort of light is pretty much a basic essential. I have provided a couple of screen captures, one without the light and one with the light with ambient room lights on in both. This light acting as a “key” light definitely helps separate my face from the background.
The light has 10 different brightness settings and 3 mode settings. 1 mode is a yellowish incandescent look, the next is a combination of the yellowish light with the bright white, and the 3rd mode is bright white. In the photos I was using the combined colors (2) with the brightness at about 5.
The light comes nicely boxed and includes the light, a mini tripod with bendable legs and a clip for attaching to a laptop or thin desktop monitor (of my 3 desktop monitors it will only clip on 1 the other 2 are too thick). The clip also fits perfectly to my microphone boom which could provide many possibilities for placement if you had a spare boom.
The light comes with an attached usb power cord which appears to be 5-6 ft. long (I didn’t measure it). Installation is simple. just plug in to any available usb port or a usb cube charger (like you would use for your phone) and place the light in your desired location. In the screen shots taken the light was perched on my monitor using the mini tripod, slightly to my right as I’m facing the monitor and are from OBS Studio. I suggest playing with the settings to achieve the look you want in the application that you will be using for your conference as in my case there seems to be some difference from platform to platform.
The construction is plastic, but it seems solid enough since normal use is likely sitting around on your desktop. There is a screw hole in the bottom for mounting that is the standard size for tripods and other mounts such as some I use for my action cameras. This provides endless possibilities for mounting and placing the light. Also, because the light is usb powered leds it is possible to use on the go if you have a usb battery pack.
I can recommend this light for anyone who wants to generally improve the look of their online video image. At the time I purchased it, they were offering a discount coupon for an additional 15% off. I believe my total cost including tax was a few cents over $22. I find the light perfectly suited to what I need to eliminate looking like I am conferencing from a dungeon or bomb shelter.

Why did I not EVER buy a light for my computer a LONG TIME AGO???!! My computer webcam busted so I bought another one (Wansview Brand – Very good) and bought this light at the same time. OMG it makes me look so much better than just using my stupid camera. No wonder my camera broke 🙂 I didn’t bother trying to teach myself again how to do screenshots so I took a picture of my screen with my phone. The pictures aren’t that great on the phone – trust me, they’re waaaaay better for reals. It has different light modes which are cool. and a dimmer. The brightest light works best on me!! I haven’t tried it on a zoom meeting yet but I know I will look so much nicer. Thanks light.
It’s kinda like a virtual facelift.
I took the photos with the 3 different modes. Sorry for the crappy pictures but you can see the difference in the coloring.
