Starts off great. Bunches together at velcro ends after just a few uses. Is not stitched through middle of ends thus allowing a bubbling and separating of fabric and velcro. Can feel the plastic just bunching up below. Note pictures. Looked for customer service link to notify, is not present – must not be interested in knowing issue. Can’t in good conscience give over a 1 for overall as it won’t last nor hold up.

My husband is a fisherman and his back often bothers him while out standing in the river or on his boat. He got this back brace to see if it would help alleviate any of his discomfort. He likes that you can adjust the amount of support you get. He is 5’8″/160lbs. and said that he is near the top end of the medium size brace. Overall, he really likes the support and said it is pretty comfortable and very well made. It has really helped his back pain when standing for long amounts of time.

I bought and use the brace for work which I do a lot of bending and picking up heavy objects. I found that the brace is very comfortable under my shirt and next to my skin which is one of the reasons I purchased it. I only use it under the recommended 4-6 hour time which has helped reduce the lower back pain I had and give me that extra support needed. I also like the addition of the adjustable pad that I can move or remove. This pad gives a little more pressure on the back region. The velcro is very strong and durable. I would give it a high recommendation.

This is the third back brace I’ve tried. The first was too narrow – heightwise – in the back. The second was nice and wide – worked well. But I got it at a discount shoe place and it’s no longer available. This one I’ve used a LOT for about a month and it has done wonders for my back. I even sleep in it although I know ppl don’t recommend doing that. At first – I felt that the insert for the back of the brace was just an unnecessary dollar-waster. But NO! In my case – it immediately relieved pain in that area. As for the smell – there was a whiff of that upon unpacking – and it’s a smell that normally does bother me. But this vanished within a day or two. I normally do not write reviews – but I had to let everyone know how well this worked for me!

I bought for my wife she works over 10 hr shifts. This came in the mail, she wore it to work and came home and said she had no back pain. She wears it over her wife beater under a t-shirt. Highly recommend this product. I need one too for my horrible back pain. Just ordered her Gel inserts for her boots too. Make her hrs of standing on her feet way more comfortable. So she can get all that overtime. More money to shop on Amazon. Lol 🙂

At first I couldn’t tell which side was up. But from the description to put on the left side first, it became clear. I’ve used several braces since my back surgery, and this is definitely the most comfortable one. Very thin and lightweight. Yet it provides good support. Most of all, since I’m a big guy, it‘s comfortable around my waist. It doesn’t fold over in the front like some braces do, it’s wide enough to stay put. And I don’t have to stretch it out to almost a breaking point just to put it on. It’s hardly noticeable under my shirt, also. This is definitely the one I’ll wear.

the thickness and width of the belt is so small. The belt has net in between which makes it loose. Also it comes till upper abdomen and cannot reach your lower back. This product can be used for posture correction but not for back pain relief.

I have a bad lower back problem, which I had it for many years. The pain comes and goes but once in while it gets really bad to the point where it’s uncomfortable to sit or even lay down.
I purchased Mueller Lumbar Support Back Brace while back in Regular size and I recently purchased this FEATOL Lumbar Support Back Brace in Small/Medium size, and I want to share the goods and bads in comparison.
WHAT I LIKE ABOUT FEATOL:
[+] I was really impressed with packaging. The box was shrink wrapped and the content inside the box was also inside a plastic bag! This is awesome in case the package is delivered during a rainy day and even left outside on the rain.
[+] It uses the new high-density velcro! Mueller belt has the traditional velcro, which can pull the fabric over time and weaken the velcro strengh but the new high-density velcro seems to have less effect on the fabric while somehow it provides super velcro strength!
[+] The outer strap is much shorter than the inner strap! This might be the biggest advantage of FEATOL over Mueller. I’m not sure why Mueller decided to have same length for both outer and inner straps but this design makes it difficult to tighten, especially the outer strap. FEATOL’s outer strap is shorter than inner strap but it’s elastic so it actually provides more firm and secure tightening around your waist. Well done!
[+] FEATOL has 4 firm splints on the back while Mueller has soft, carboard like support. 4 splints on FEATOL provides rigid and strong support for your back to help your stand/sit straight.
WHAT I DON’T LIKE ABOUT FEATOL:
[-] The optional, lumbar pad is very thin so it doesn’t make much of difference, while Mueller’s optional pad is thick with a cushion.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
Solid 5 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend this belt if you have lower back problem like me. I would have given 10 stars if the optional lumbar pad was thicker with cushion but this is not a deal breaker. I also wear this when I lift weights, especially during squats, which really helps with my back pain.
** TIP **
The reason why I got Small/Medium size for FEATOL is because I have Regular size for Mueller and it was too big for my waist, which is 32″. However, FEATOL’s Small/Medium size is perfect for my 32″ waist but it might have been okay if I had gotten the Large/X-Large size. If your waist is bigger than 32″ then you should get the Large/X-Large size instead of Small/Medium size.

I like this Back Brace Belt so much that I also got the Large/X-Large size and added the size comparison photo.
If your waist is 30″ or smaller then I would recommend the Small/Medium size but get Large/X-Large is your waist is bigger than 32″. If your waist is 31″ or 32″ like myself then you can go with either but I actually like the Small/Medium fit better.

My chronic siatica acted up for the first time in several years last week. It started out mild but has gotten worse since. I was looking for solutions in addition to the Advil and warming pad and thought to get one of these. For a measly $20 this back brace has helped when I must move around tremendously. While the pain is still there – it’s pretty bad this time – it provides enough support to lessen it when I must move around. I have only had it a few days so the testing opportunities have been limited but assuming it holds up it is a good product at a nominal cost. I recommend this to anyone with lower back pain for those times when you simply can’t rest up.
