It’s not perfect, and has variances in the shell and metal, but that just makes it more special. The wire-work is very delicate, and obviously put together by hand as there are variations in the metal and you can see where it was quickly welded together. The shell is real capiz shell (only found in the Gulf of Aden in the Philippines) and very thin, and has variances and small chips from it, but this is expected, especially with such a cheap item. It has a regular two-prong plug and glows a beautiful golden hue. I will cherish it forever.

Une belle étoile au nord du sapin! Avec un minimum d’ajustement, elle tient bien. L’arrière n’est pas couvert, mais il donne sur le mur alors c’est pas nécessaire. Somme toute, un bon achat!

I can’t believe they have the nerve to sell this junk for nearly $40! While it does look nice when Iit, it is just poorly made and flimsy. The coil that is supposed to attach it to the tree is an awful design and after spending nearly 30 minutes trying to get it to stay I decided that it was just not worth that much effort. It kept flopping over and you should not have to magyver this thing to make it stay. I went out the same night and bought an absolutely beautiful GE topper that is sturdy, looks nice from both the front AND the back, attached to the tree about 30 seconds (and STAYED) and was less than half the price.

Total waste of money. Doesn’t work. I just spent 2 hrs trying to put this on top of my artificial tree, it just falls over no matter what I try. You can’t stuff the top of the tree into the coil for 2 reasons. 1) The coil is too short and 2) the top of the tree is not stiff enough, also tried a couple of the top pieces. I also tried making a cone out of a plastic green bottle but that also was a bust so now I am stuck with yet another tree topper that is overpriced and useless because all the tree topper creators still haven’t figured out a proper topper to solve the problem. I shouldn’t have to try to find a stabilizer if it was made to work. Besides there are none available to purchase anyway. The only one I found was $50 on walmart.

My biggest problem is this star is smaller than it is supposed to be.
It was advertised on Amazon as 9″ x 9″ in size, and it is, at most, only 8″ x 8″. As others have mentioned, it has a very short coil with which to attach to the treetop, and I had to use multiple twist ties and rubber bands to “sort of” get it to stay in place. In addition, the back of this star is not meant to be seen. If you have a 6 ft or smaller tree up against a wall and are willing to put up with a tree topper that is very difficult to get to stay in place, this would work. This starts out as a pretty tree topper but it is so small one cannot see the details when it tops a 9′ tree. I am not returning it, but I am looking for a larger lighted star sold by a vendor who tells the truth about dimensions.

The front is beautiful, when you turn it over all you see is wire and lights, no back. My tree is beautiful ALL the way around and this star was disappointing and completely unacceptable. Not the sellers fault, apparently this is how several of the Kurt Adlers are manufactured. Stupid on their part.

This star is beautiful. It’s a warm white, bright and very pretty. The only complaint I have is the box it came in was completely crushed, making it basically garbage and not usable anymore. I was surprised to see how the star was still held together amongst the horrible box, but like stated, it’s worked awesome so far. It’s worth the money in my opinion but I wish it came in nicer packaging so I had somewhere to store in for the rest of the year. If you’re looking for a large star, this isn’t your best choice, but it works well for my 7.5 ft tall Xmas tree.

It is a nice star. Not happy that it has three big screws on the front of it. But it does look nice with my lights. Does not plug into a pre lit tree. Needs an outlet plug and the cord is not long enough to reach one. Unless you have tree lights that you add separate you will have to plug the star into an extension cord to reach a wall outlet. I don’t think this star is worth $40.

I ordered this with Amazon Prime and not only did it arrive days late and have to be replaced, neither this star nor the replacement worked. They both flickered and refused to stay constantly on. The star also has no back, the back side is exposed wire and looks awful. To try to get the light to stay on, I had to keep twisting the wire and hold it in the same place. It was just awful to try to keep doing this while talking to family and hoping to celebrate Christmas around this extremely disappointing tree topper. Save your money and buy a star that actually looks good and works. Do NOT waste time kn this.

Lovely star… like others, I did have to reinforce The top of my artificial tree in order to hold the star and keep it upright, but honestly I’m thinking that’s more of an issue with the tree, not the topper. Any substantial topper is going to have the same problem in my opinion. And as someone else mentioned the spring is worthless and always has been on every topper I’ve ever purchased. However the star is just as pictured looks beautiful and an appropriate size for my 7 1/2 foot artificial tree.

I read the reviews on this item AFTER I ordered it. I was skeptical at that point. HOWEVER, upon receipt of this yesterday and putting it on top of my tree, I absolutely LOVE IT! .. Its just what IM looking for. Previous reviews state its top heavy and fall over . As with this type of topper, It fits over the top branch . I folded that top branch down and tightly fixed the star over that It stays ok. Theres always a way to make things work. It looks just gorgeous.

This is a lovely tree topper. As kthers have said, it iis a fragile piece, but nkt unexpectedly so..it is constructed from delicate shell, and should be handled as such. I used it on a slender 8 ft artificial tree, set on our interior balcony. The glow from the star was warm and showy. The design is exactly what we wanted. We anchored the topper to the tree by wrapping green twist ties to the topper base and then wrapping those ties around the tree top stalk. I have done this with every topper I have owned. It keeps the topper straight and safely affixed to the tree. Very happy with this topper.

I purchased this based on other customer reviews and photos. I took a chance and I wasn’t disappointed. This star is very pretty. It’s pretty fragile and could break very easily but if you’re careful, it’ll last for a long time. Please see pics!
