Where to start? First of all, I bought the liter set as a replacement for my tried & true Sebastian Twisted, which was out of stock. I figured it’s the same line and has “drench” right in the name. What a misnomer. The conditioner “suds” up and makes the hair sticky while it’s wet, making you feel like it’s never properly rinsed out. The scent is atrocious. This shampoo & conditioner legitimately smells like body odor. No one wants to smell like that. Despite the name, it leaves hair dry af and crispy feeling. Never again. I’d rather use drug store shampoo and conditioner on my head than this mess. Just DON’T buy it.

Me encantan los productos de Sebastián. Había estado usando el Hidro, y esta vez he cambiado para probar. Deja el pelo muy liso. Huele fetén

I was excited about ordering this product as my experience with my daughters bottles resulted in exceptional performance with my hair. I am an older woman with very dry thin hair. My daughter’s bottles of Sebastian Drench Deep Moisturizing Shampoo and separate Conditioner performed far superior to the bottles I received here. I considered if it was a difference in water as she lives in Colorado and I live in California but after reading other reviews, I believe the difference in performance is in the “middle man.” I won’t purchase from this retailer again.

In my opinion this has been the best shampoo for my fine hair I have ever used. I have tried so many brands and keep finding myself returning to this one for nice clean hair. You do not need a conditioner. This shampoo was first induced to me at a Salon but they no longer carry it. Thus I am pleased to see it available here on Amazon since I was lost without it until I found it here. Great price. Lasts nearly six months of daily use with a dispenser pump attached to the top.

The smell was off, the thickness was runny and very bubbly in the bottle itself. I had bought another small bottle a couple months ago, hair was oily the very next morning. Didn’t feel nice and silky like the real product. Only buy from a salon or authorized salon product store such as ulta. Do your research

Fake: from real manufacture the Ingredients should be for the drench shampoo: Water/Eau, Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Glycol Distearate, Dimethicone, Cetyl Alcohol, Cocamide Mea, Fragrance/Parfum. Polyquaternium-10, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Benzoate, Disodium Mdta, PEG-7m, Citric Acid, Hydrolyzed Silk, Simmondsia Xylenesulfonate, Sodium Chloride.

If you take a look at this sellers other Sebastian shampoos, they all have the same ingredients!

C’est un produit que je connaissais mais qui était en rupture de stock chez ma coiffeuse.

Not the same as the stuff I bought in the salon seems like they just put cheap shampoo in the expensive bottle

I had a similar experience as another reviewer. I’ve been buying this shampoo (and conditioner) for almost 10 years from CVS and Ulta. It works well on my color-treated hair; my color is less likely to fade using this, and it moisturizes to boot. I’m pretty sure this larger 33.8 oz bottle (which was a deal at $19.30) was watered down/cut with a lower-quality shampoo, though. Like I said, I’ve been using it for years, and this bottle *did not* smell the same. It also didn’t lather as well, nor did it moisturize as well. Hence the 1 star. The seller was “The Best of Beauty,” which, oddly, has great reviews. I’ll be getting this shampoo from CVS and Ulta from now on, which has better quality control.

I’ve been buying this shampoo for 15 years from a salon. I purchased this from this seller and I don’t think it’s the same shampoo. It doesn’t lather up good like the others I’ve bought from the salon. It doesn’t smell the same or soften my hair either, like the salon stuff. I’ll definitely be buying from the salon from now on!!

I need to order more. This shampoo makes my hair so healthy. I switched to a cheaper brand after I ran out and it made my hair look like straw. That was a mistake. I have fine hair but A LOT of it. A little goes a long way and it leaves my hair so beautiful and mosturized without looking greasy.

Don’t hesitate, I’m a hairstylist and a consumer! Buy this. Especially if you don’t plan on using conditioner or using any product in your hair. My husband and I have fine very long dense natural both wavy/straighter hair and curly/wavy hair! It smells so good and isn’t too gender oriented in appearance or scent! It’s not masculine, nor feminine just clean but also fruity/sweet smelling but Not in any actually resembling fruits way or confections. I don’t like that type of smell where you smell like a food or something other than a perfume or clean fresh scent-I’m not into that crap. No worries with the smell. If you prefer no fragrance or are sensitive maybe look for something fragrance free or consider that you may find it too strong. It’s moisturizing but without feeling greasy or unwashed. People and their sulfate free oily feeling hair. I’m not into that. I need to feel clean, squeaky clean. I like lather, lots of it! This is rich thick and creamy feeling along with clean. It won’t strip the heck out if your hair like a clarifying shampoo. I have their volumizing one Too! Though it smells great not as great as this one, but it’s a lighter formula in that it literally feels lighter and hair is lifted but also without stripping it. I love their conditioner but I keep a tub of biolage matrix hydrating conditioner for those rare occasions I need it after heavy styling like a roller set teasing and lots of hair spray and dusting powder for an updo for example, or when my hair feels dry. I don’t use a clarifying shampoo in those cases or the volumizing one I just wash twice! I use volumizing shampoo when I feel my hair is too hydrated and needs protein. I keep a protein mask on hand Incase it’s time to use it I use the kerestasse one loreal red tub treatment rare as hell that I would use this.
I wash my hair every day sometimes if I’m not styling it, if I blow dry it style I go up to 2-4 dats between washes, on the longer end I wash twice in shower, shorter end once but generous. Daily I use a nickel size and larger it with a splash of water, a little goes a long way! Just add water!

    I don’t have damaged hair:
Usually I air dry in a claw clip, down, or braid my hair in pigtails. I blow dry occasionally, on low heat. I use ghd glide to “straighten” my hair. I stopped using flat iron but if I do I use a 410 f setting to touch up or prior to owning glide brush. I have curling irons that I rarely use but also same heat babyliss type I adjust. I use Olivia garden brushes gold ones. Paddle cushion type and the iDivine boar brush for brushing. I don’t color treat but if I did I would do the same.

I have thick curly hair and this conditioner is amazing at managing curls, and only took small amount.
