I have two daughters who constantly want their nails done on top of me getting my nails done. Regular polish already starts chipping the next day so I decided to get a gel nail kit and just do our nails from home. I like how much comes with this kit, but the blue and mint colors are really the same color (both blue) and the light pink and rose were both a light pink. The polish runs down the nail while it’s under the light. I’m just not impressed with the polish itself. I’m going to buy a different brand of polish and see if it dries better.

I spent a ton of time researching gel polish kits, based on the price, quality and colors available in the kit itself. Beetles seemed like the best brand, especially for the light provided with and I wasn’t wrong. I’ve had this kit for about a week or so, after trying a different one for a whole day. The other was awful and one of the colors came exploded. THIS KIT THOUGH. Everything was perfect and intact, neat and came with pouches to put things in. The light works wonderful and is very easy to use. The actual gel base and top coat, colors as well are some of the best gel polishes I’ve used, so far. Of course, I am not that far into my experience with gel polish and I am not a pro, but these colors are really easy to glide on, they blend well and easy to layer. Very happy I bought this kit and I recommend it to anyone!

This stuff is awful! The polish like separates and spreads while applying it making it look like my child painted my nails for me. Also it’s very hard to cure the gel. Especially the base coat. It cures lumpy no matter how thin you apply it making the gel color look weird when you apply it. And no matter how good you get the gel on, it spreads while it’s curing and ends up looking awful.

I had to come back and write a review for this.. I’ve never written a review for anything on amazon before! I was very skeptical about this product because I kept seeing mixed reviews for various reasons. I love having my nails done but its just too expensive to keep going to have them redone every week or so. If you are just a plain Jane looking for some polish to last longer than a week and have little to no experience doing your own nails this is the kit for you. I simply watched a few YouTube tutorials on this kit and after a few attempts I started to get the hang of gel polish. My nails are cute all the time now and I’ve saved so much money from this purchase.
So far my nails have only just begun chipping at about the one week mark. Which is already way longer than typical nail polish that I can only make last maybe a few days. Even with the gel chipping slightly at one week they still look pretty flawless besides that and they don’t chip from doing dishes, showering, or other everyday activities. I did purchase a protein bond that may help with the longevity as well. I’ve never tried this kit without it so I can’t say how much of a difference it makes without. The protein bond I purchased was from Young Nails- Protein Bond. If you have difficulty with nail polish longevity I suggest trying that with this kit! You won’t be disappointed if you purchase.

My daughters love using Beetles. They are high quality and budget friendly for us! This starter kit is perfect for any age and is very inexpensive and easier than going to the salon every 2 weeks. Nail appointments can become a hassle and this starter kit is all my daughters need to do their nails. Lamp, 6 colors, base, top, and accessories. Can’t beat it! Thanks Beetles!

I’ve been getting my gel manicures for a long time and wanted to give it a try. Well I was not disappointed! I am very happy with the delivery and product. Make sure not to put a thick coat.

Really good product. I got tired of waiting for my nails to dry with normal polish and wanted to give this a try. The amount of stuff you get for the $45 is amazing. The polish was very thick and a little hard to use at first but I did get used to it. Tip: dry for 120 seconds AT LEAST once in between every single coat. If u don’t dry the base coat long enough it will cause the first polish coat to separate. At the end I did 2 or 3 120 second cycles to ensure my nails were fully dry. This picture shows day 6 of my nails. I found that if u don’t cover a part of your nail with the top coat it starts to lift causing it to peel so make sure u cover the entire nail with the top coat! So far love the kit and great for beginners like myself.

Everything about this set is great. I actually re ordered the polishes separately because I liked them so much. The lamp is super powerful and so lightweight. It also has a cool look to it which I like a lot. The cuticle oil that comes with the set smells really good and was a great bonus. I sell nails and used the colors to do a super cute pastel ombré.
