I was contacted by Jenny at customer service and she was eager to make this right and be sure we were satisfied with their products in the end.
I’ve received a replacement heater and was gifted, very generously, another item (air fryer) as well to smooth things over.
That kind of customer service is rare folks! So, while I got a defective unit on the second purchase, things were made right and the company showed deep desire for customer satisfaction. Changing my rating to 5 stars from 3 because service is always a huge factor for me and my family when it comes to where we spend our money!

I assume this is a brand new updated design because we re-ordered from a previous purchase about a month ago. Paid same price, same seller, different design (though at time of re-order it showed the same pic as the first one we bought).
The other had the controls on the top in the front and was 8″ taller. This unit has all the controls on the top plate.
Both have same output, heat and power output. Main three differences are the control panel, height, and the fact that this one reeks like burnt electronics when running it.
Last night (first night of use) we assumed it was breaking in and burning off the “new” and it seemed to go away.
Tonight it’s been overpowering to the point where it’s giving me a bad taste in my mouth (literally) and a headache, so I keep turning it off.
It doesn’t feel like a safe unit between that smell causing literal health issues and it being a burnt wire smell coming from a space heater.
Going to give the company a chance to make it right, then it’s going back. I’m not burning my house down due to a faulty space heater. I at least have it plugged into a GFI receptacle for protection there.
We had good luck with the first one aside from the rubber foot grommets missing in the pedestal. It smelled first use as well but went away permanently after that
This one is making me nervous though.
Side note: The controls on top of a flat top unit were a terrible idea, especially with a remote. Should’ve at least made it a wedge design for visibility. The old design controls were much better thought out.
Giving three stars only because heat is hot and unit is almost dead silent.

So if you want a “ceramic electrical heater that works” look no further !! We ordered 1 at first so we didn’t need to worry about returning 2 items if the heaters turned out to be junk. We will gladly be ordering another one of the Dreo Space Heaters.. This Dreo pumps out the heat like crazy!! Its built in shut off safety features are great if you have pets or distracted people walking around.. Some people complain about the smell and truth be told its not that bad. Its NORMAL for any heater to give off fumes when its new!!. After about 5-7 minutes of run time the fumes already began dissipating.. Open a window if the smell bothers you for the first time you start the heater.. “Stars 5/5, & highly recommended !!

The best performing heater. Easy to move around. Very light weight. Heats up the room very quickly. Best for office room. Also comes with remote. I highly recommend this heater.

I am glad I bought this heater. It is very quiet and solid built. I am using it on 80F. My bedroom is warm and cozy to sleep. Recommended for everyone.

BLUF: We use this heater in our 25-foot RV when on shore power or using a generator. We like the heater, will continue to use it and recommend it to our friends and others. We plan to purchase a second Dreo Space Heater because this was such a good value.
Pros: The heater heats the main living space well. We like the remote, it works perfectly. The feature to turn off the beep is nice. The heater is quiet when even when on high and oscillating. The heater is small, doesn’t take much floor space and is very light weight.
Cons: There was a slight burnt electronics smell during the first 3 or 4 uses that worried me. The smell is gone and heater continues to work. Perhaps the smell was just a break-in sort of thing. We will update the review if this turns out to be a bigger issue.

I wanted to return this but could not for full price. The heat output was excellent, but the smell while running gave me an instant headache. It has been in the garage for two weeks now and I am hoping the smell will dissipate, if so, it will be a great heater.
Customer service contacted me and went above and beyond to resolve my issue. I still have the heater and the smell has lessened. With customer service like this, you cannot go wrong with a Dreo product.

I just used it several times because it’s kind of getting cold last week. Then I found it didn’t work at all and the plug was super hot. I am afraid it’s gonna bump out.

I originally bought this for my nephew’s dorm room, but eventually decided to keep it for myself around the house. It is small enough to put in my living room without making it look like there is a giant piece of furniture placed there. I think its best quality is that it is shockingly powerful. I was sitting on the couch and passed out while watching a movie and I woke up sweating! I was pretty surprised that on the low setting that it got me hot enough to drench my clothing. Its design, however, was the appealing thing for me…and most of the reason why I decided to keep it. Compared to other cheap heaters that look like giant logs, this one has a touch screen display and thermostat control. It also has a timer you can set so, if you’re like me and fall asleep during movies, you can set it for an hour and just like it automatically turn off. Also, when you turn it off, it will show a timer that counts down from 15 until it turns off. I initially thought this heater could never turn off, but then I let the timer hit 0 and it turned off automatically. That was definitely a modern feel to it. I would recommend this to someone who wants a nice modern addition to their home with a small machine that doesn’t take up too much space.
