All Started out well but the battery would not last and it would not hold a charge. ( ONLY LASTED 2 MONTHS ) Called customer support and was promised things but no delivery. I was promised an email and did not get it. I called a 2nd time and no help. Once again they promised an email and did not deliver. They said I would have to record a video and send to the company. Very disappointing

Based on the good reviews I purchased this unit. After 2 weeks I am returning it.
It will work fine for few minutes then totally go limp and lose tracking/position. Yes it is fully charged because I want to make sure it is not a battery problem.
Did I get a bad unit? Don’t know but it just does not work consistently.
Update (6 Jan 22): Vendor keep asking me to remove this review (in exchange for a $20.00 Amazon gift card?). I don’t see why it should be removed since it was an honest review (My son and I spend 2 weeks testing it since he really wanted this gimble). Maybe the vendor should send me a verified good unit to test because the one I purchased did not work consistently. Anyway, I ended up purchasing a 2D gimbal (different manufacture) and it works great.
Update (10 Jan 22): Offer is now for $30.00 Amazon gift card. It makes me wonder … maybe this product has such a good review because all the lower star rating reviews were asked to be deleted.

For starters it didn’t specifically say it would work with my model phone but I gave it a shot anyway…the weight limit shown in the specs was within range, and thought the width was also in specs, but has to be without a case since it won’t spin with the case on. With the case off, it flips horizontal/vertical but appears to slightly struggle. Also the external remote…the instruction’s it came with didn’t help much with initial setup but I do like the company emailed me direct to let me know how to do this…unfortunately my remote would not pair at all with my current phone (or older phone I tested with (older Samsung S10+) …not sure I would’ve used the remote much since it’s so small, but would’ve been a nice occasional option to have. The last complaint I had was the software…it does have some nice features, but for my phone it only zooms to the max the software allows (assume for the gimbal to work correctly), and my phone can zoom in a lot more. It also relies on software stabilizing which for the most part works ok but my phone would occasionally drift either left or right on it’s own in low light situations and not sure why…so unfortunately had to return this.

There are no truly great cellphone gimbals. Phones just vary and change too much for gimbals to keep up with. That said, this gimbal is pretty good, especially for the price. There is really no reason to buy a more expensive phone gimbal.
This gimbal is strong enough to handle the largest of phones with a thin case on them. They may however be too long to rotate from horizontal to vertical filming without leaning the gimbal so the phone doesn’t hit it. The app is not perfect, but none of them are. Phone gimbals are what they are. They all have “quirks”, you can’t expect perfection and there is no reason to spend a bunch of money on one.

The gimbal was more difficult to connect than others I have owned. The reason I returned it was because the device would not work without the app, and the app would not work without gps location turned on.

So far it is great. Mia culpa I downloaded the wrong app. Got that squared away. Phone teck support was fast , courteous and spoke great English. I plan on live streaming and shooting some archive stuff for ongoing stories. This stuff is light and works well.
update. Make SURE both phone and gimbal are FULLY CHARGED before attempting bluetooth pairing.
update2 Finally got phone paired with gimbal. Then paired a headset and the gimbal quit working. I have had it with tech support time and trying everything possible to get iot to work. Just too much BS for something that should be easy peasy.

I am sincerely in love with this new released iSteady X2 gimbal. Though I am a new beginner, this gimbal is still easy to carry on. I have used this product to make some great videos with my friends and it was so fabulous. The device itself seems great, sturdy and well made. I have compared this one with the DJI OSMO 4, I would say I will never regret the choice of hohem gimbal coz it really lives up to the type. There are different one-tap template within the APP such as dolly zoom and inception mode. I like the Face Tracking and Gesture Control features, which made it much easier to take a photo from distance. Moreover, I love the remote most!!! I can take photos with my friends or use this lightweight gimbal during travel. What really surprised me was the reverse charging. With this function, this handheld gimbal can be used as an emergency battery. Overall, it is much over the value and I would definitely recommend it to my friends. Thanks, hohem for making such an amazing product.

Great stabilizer, lightweight easy to use, Holds Moto G7 Power with no problem other than had to remove protective case from phone to get secure grip that I felt comfortable with. Very easy to set up and balance and really like the ability to use remote control. Much easier and a lighter than larger version which was also more involved to balance. Would recommend this one for anyone looking for a great stabilizer at a decent price.
