It is on even during day time. Bought set of two. One of them is working fine -only on in dark, the other one is coming on even during day time.

I got these having no idea if they really work like they claim to… and they actually do! The top deck of our lawn is about 16 feet below where I have one of these mounted, and this senses and illuminates when deer are maybe 20 feet from our front door… a combined distance of maybe 30-32 feet out. They only take maybe 1 second to trigger, but this works perfectly… if they triggered faster, they’d light up every time a bird or a large insect flew near them. The delay in triggering is well-timed, and the delay in staying lit up is perfect too. These are also nice and bright. I was surprised that their sensitivity is this good, and that they don’t pop on and off incessantly, a well-designed device. Almost everything you buy these days (online) ends up being trashy, untested products made for a quick sell and no repeat customers, but these are made so well that I’ll be ordering more eventually. The only reason I haven’t yet is that they seem to last a long time, but I’ll be back! Repeat customer has been born!!!

I bought a set of 4 to replace my outdoor flood lights. It works well initially and actually bought second set of 4. Very soon I noticed the lights will come up but they will never turn off. I have to turn off the lights then turn back on for them to stay off (reset). There is no setting you can adjust. Until this is resolved, I would not recommend to anyone.

These have worked perfectly for 6 months and then in the past two weeks, they no longer detect motion. They will stay off even when walking within a few feet of the light. Or they will stay on all night with nothing moving nearby. This morning they stayed on even after the sun came up and it was very bright outdoors.

These are BRIGHT floodlight-style LED bulbs. They stay off during the daytime, and turn on when something moves in their field of view. They stay on for perhaps a minute, and then turn off. As LEDs, they don’t get particularly warm, and you can leave them turned on all the time without jacking up your power bill. I’m a big fan. I have a pair at each corner of my house. When they turn on, I can often see that they were triggered by a deer or raccoon; even something as small as a possum can trigger them.

We placed one of these lights under the covered entrance by our front door. It’s nice to step outside before/after it is dark and not have to turn on the light. Also, for anyone coming to the door (think package delivery during the holidays when they are out late) it’s a great feature.
We placed the other two in our flood light fixture in our back yard. Living on a corner lot, we like this feature if someone were to approach our back patio it will illuminate.
It was hard to determine the detection zone when we installed the one by our front door because it faces straight down and is installed in a recessed light fixture. When we open our front storm door the light goes off when the door is fully extended (it’s about 5-6 feet away from the light).
As for the two floodlights in the back (which are at an angle) it picked up as far as 40 feet away. Adjusting the fixture itself took care of hitting in the proper range.
The light remains on for 90 seconds after it detects no activity, which is adequate for us.
You can easily set the lights to remain on if you so desire.
We are VERY pleased with these lights. They are easy to install and use and I would definitely recommend this product.
At $13.75 a light (in a package of 4) they are a little pricier than regular bulbs, but in my opinion worth it. Expect them to last a long time.

Bought a two pack of these, only one bulb worked. Ordered another two pack hoping one would work. They both didn’t work properly.
Out of 4 bulbs, one worked as advertised, one didn’t even come on, and the other two, you had to be an inch away for motion sensor to work!
Terrible!

So far so good! To make them permanently on vs motion activated, and back again…just turn the switch that controls them off and on within one second, they will flash twice to indicate that they have changed modes. A few times, they have gotten stuck on when we have been outside doing stuff, but easily flipping the switch off and turning them back on reset them. We will eventually upgrade the entire house to smart lights that will be controlled by a hub ($$$$). Since half our flood lights were out, we decided to buy a pack of these to replace them. Loved the motion activation so much that we decided to replace the other half just because!

Lights fit standard socket and work great, but sensing range is a little more limited than I expected. They seem to sense about 20-32 feet away from the bulb. Also they normally only stay on for about 30- 50 seconds. I did not time them, but they do not stay on long. However if the person that is being sensed moves a bit, that seems to restart the timing, so then they stay on longer. I installed them to alert people that they may being observed as well as to provide a little light for people who need to see where they are going and/or need to enter a code into the garage door opener device, and they do fine for that.
I was having trouble with a conventional sensor, and it seemed like I needed to replace it every year. This required me to be on a ladder and to unwire and rewire the device frequently. I think this will be a lot easier to work with, as all I will have to do is to replace the bulb – no rewiring. Not sure how long they will last (I had seen some other reports that they fail after a few months) but we will see. I am in a windy, wet area in SW Florida, and it is a tough environment for anything outdoors, so as I said, we will see. If they fail quickly, I will update this review. But as of right now, I am very pleased with them.
I also installed two in the two recessed overhead floodlight fixtures at my front door – I think those will be fine as they are more protected, and will really help to lighten the front porch area when someone comes to the door. If the visitor moves a bit, I suspect they will stay on long enough to help the visitor find the door bell!

3000k light gives off good lighting with nice colour – not too bright (close to a regular tungsten bulb). Make sure your gimbal will fit a 5″ wide bulb. I bought a new gimbal so it would fit. You may have to go to an electrical supply place as the regular places sell only recessed lights with LED lights already integrated.

I wish I had known about these years ago! Easily swapped out the flood light style bulbs in my front porch with these. They come on as people approach my front step and stay on until they are inside the house. I have swinging chairs on my porch and they don’t come on when the wind blows them either. Very happy with these!

Very bright which is exactly what they were suppose to do.
Come on dusk to dawn. Good motion sensing range.
Packaged well and arrived in good condition.

Bought 6 bulbs….. after a couple months one light had timing problem( would stay on after detection and would randomly shut off at extremmly random times) ….but other than that they work fine….have used for 8 months from fall to spring in Pacific northwest…..so in variable weather situations……
Just had another one go into on/off cycle all night…so far 2 out of 6 no good
