Initially, the hose did not let gas from my 20 lb propane tank reach the burners on my Coleman NXT 200 grill; while a 1 lb disposable canister worked fine. It was puzzling why the canister fit fine but the hose and big tank did not. However, after digging around for answers on the web, it turned out the remedy actually was to modify the grill fitting to better fit the hose, i.e., the pin in the grill’s female fitting is slightly too short and thus does not reach deep enough into the hose end to allow gas flow. I fixed this by placing a 10 mm socket into the grill’s female fitting and turned the pin/nut counter-clockwise, loosening the nut (that is part of the pin assembly) by about a quarter turn, thus in effect lengthening the pin just a little to make up for the shortfall in the hose end. Then when I tested the hose again, gas successfully flowed to the burners. No leaks. I also checked to make sure my disposable canister was still a good fit after this modification, and it worked fine and did not leak. While my repair worked, I have to give the hose a one-star review for forcing me to do work that should have been done by the manufacturer to begin with. I don’t know if Coleman screwed up making the hose or their grill, or both, in this case. Hopefully they will sort it out in future.

Works with twin 20,000 BTU camp stoves; IE: Camp Chef Everest. It reverse threads (lefty tightly) into your bulk tank (20lb cylinder). No leaks and seems to be of decent build quality. Picture is a Camp Chef Everest with this adapter hose, connected to a 20 lb tank, and both 20k BTU burners on high. Adequate gas flow.

Helps reduce the cost of buying lots of the Coleman single use small propane bottles which only last a couple of days with my Fryechampion.

The Coleman road trip grill was never designed to have this kind of pressure from a 25 pound tank to begin with so buying this thing is a waste of money because it’s going to overwhelm the regulator you already have installed from Coleman and there’s no replacement, not even from Coleman as a matter of fact it’s a waste of money to buy the Coleman road trip grill to begin with

Edit: I really like Coleman as a brand I just don’t think this hose is the best product for a n00b or beginner like me. I don’t want to mess with it to get it to work. The hose was sturdy built and durable just didn’t work. Gave 2 stars for durability.
This adapter hose does not work out of the box. No gas flows from 20lb tank. I thought it could be the tank or the grill’s regulator, but alas it was this crap hose from Coleman. I opened a brand new Mr.Heater adapter hose and it worked 100% perfectly right out of the box. Would never recommend this product even though I generally like coleman’s cheap stuff. This hose was overpriced and doesn’t even WORK. Another reviewer left a comment about how to loosen some piece inside the large tank end of the hose in order for gas to flow– WHY would anyone buy this and why would Coleman expect users to make this adjustment? I will be seeking a refund / return instead.

I could not get this adapter to work with my grill. Thinking it was the adapter, I ordered a second one from Amazon, and it, too did not work. I emailed Coleman (coleman.com) and they responded in one day with suggestions to fix the problem. Below is what they sent. I turned the nut 1/4 turn couterclockwise and the adapter worked fine. They offered the best customer service I’ve experienced from any Amazon vendor. They even offered to replace the part or give me a refund, even though it was purchased from Amazon. I’m a VERY satisfied customer. “Please check first if it is working on a Coleman 1lb propane cylinder to isolate the issue. If no gas is flowing, you can troubleshoot it by loosening the nut (that is part of the pin assembly on the regulator) by about a quarter turn counterclockwise, thus in effect lengthening the pin then reattach hose for the gas to flow.”

This item connects directly into the Coleman regulator and then to your propane cylinder. It works perfectly with my Calor gas 3.9kg and 6Kg propane orange cylinders. I have the Coleman Perfectflow two burner propane stove and the newer Coleman FyreChampion Double Burner Stove. They both work perfectly with this item. (The high pressure regulator for the Coleman, is the long stem part that screws into the side of the Coleman propane stove and is supplied with all Coleman propane stoves and cookers.) After ordering the item, it took ten day to arrive and was delivered by a Yodel courier. This item will save you so much money in comparison to using the expensive screw-in Coleman 457g and 465g 1lb bottle cylinders. I have also made my own hose and connector using a Silverline adjustable propane gas regulator (£5.99 eBay). This allows much more control over the flame and gives a much lower simmer when required. It is now my preferred connector and regulator as it gives full manual control over the regulator and burners.

Perfect for the Coleman Fyre Champion which has to be the best camping stove out there. This will connect so you can use the larger propane bottles form a Calor Gas centre. More than pays for itself when you consider the small screw in bottles are expensive and you will need lots of them otherwise!

End wasn’t crimp. Fitting pulls off easily. Where is quality control. Now I find out it’s not returnable. There were cheaper ones but I wanted a good name brand. If I had not noticed this prior to hooking it up and pressurizing the hose, this could have been disaster causing injury. Amazon should not allow sellers to not take returns for bad craftsmanship. It shows the seller has no confidence in their products. I have used Coleman in the past and have noticed their products are not as well built as they used to be. Very sad. I wish I could give them minus stars, it what they deserve. I highly DO NOT recommend this product.
