I have had zero issues with this bagger. Fits right up to my Cub Cadet XT1 42 in. mower. Pretty simple to put together. Seems to be made with good quality parts. After about 2 uses the clear feeder tube and the little window on the lid are pretty much useless after they get caked with grass mulch, but that was pretty much what I expected when I bought it. Fairly simple to remove and replace the unit between mows. Just a note – this may have been obvious to everyone but myself but the lower bracket that the bagging attachment sits on fastens to the trailer hitch for stability, so the whole unit will have to be removed in order to use something else such as a cart or spreader. Certainly not a big deal since it isn’t super labor-intensive to remove, just thought I would throw that out there.

Installed today. Works well with Cub Cadet XT1 46″. A few tips…. 1. Do not remove the original chute. I installed new blades the day it was set to arrive and figured I’d just remove the chute, don’t do this as the spring assembly on the chute completes the seal better.
2. Disregard all the model 700 series stuff in the instructions.
3. On the chute assembly there is a pin that goes into a hole by the guide wheel. Mine had one bolt that attached the pin protruding further than the other. This interrupted the guide wheel. Solution, remove the star bit bolt add one or two washers to the inside and done.
I had a piece of weather stripping loose in the box… No idea where that goes or where it’s from, the additional brackets etc you won’t use.
Install took 20 minutes no tools required I was very pleased with that.

This thing fit very well. I’d highly suggest you go and youtube assembly instructions. There are a couple that made this process super easy. Very surprised how light it is – very easy to remove or reattach the entire unit. The upper glass, as others have remarked, is pretty pointless after 1 or 2 mow jobs. It’s just a green opaque now – obviously you could clean it up but with as much moisture in the grass we have here in WA state it’s sort of silly. NOTE: I was very confused about whether or not I needed to get a separate chute/adapter thingy that attaches to the mower deck and connects to the clear tube. IT COMES WITH IT – so, no worries. I’m attaching a picture of what it all looks like (never mind I can’t, I guess). Very happy with this product. I also ordered some spare stickers from partstree for my machine and ended up with an extra ‘cub cadet’ one so I stuck it on back and looks like I paid the extra 80$ for that one – lol.

Works perfectly on the Enduro XT1 42 inch deck. Installation was easy only took 30 minutes to install. It is not mentioned that it will fit Cub Cadet but it does perfectly. Just follow the “other” instructions. Honestly could not be simpler.

My tractor is the 42” Craftsman Pro Series 7800 (the yellow and black one). This unit fit on this mower without issue. It could be a bit more intuitive and the instructions could be a bit clearer but even if you fumble around a bit and it’s a how day you can get it done in under an hour. I’m glad because I like the see through tubing (similar to woodshop dust collection tubing) and the window over the bins. I prefer hard bins but I still have a pair from my old bagger and they can be made to work with effort. With a bit of strategic trimming on the edges of the older bins I can take the effort out of it. (Never throw away those old hardsided bins, they’re handy for everything.)

I wanted to write this review just to make sure I contribute to set of reviews as other reviewers did help me narrow down my choice to product. I would like my review to help future buyers.
I have 2018 Cub Cadet XT1 42″ and I ordered the bagger hoping it’ll fit my Rider. Does it fits? Yes as if it was made for Cub cadet and to my surprise Cub Cadet is not one of 6 brands that are mentioned on the box. It comes with pretty detailed steps and black and white pictures just like any other manual but pictures do help. Installation was a breeze (though I was skeptical as my model was not listed) , I just followed the steps and I was done in about 30 minutes. Assembly is pretty straightforward, just follow the steps. There are two models mentioned in manual some 700 series and others , just follow the Others if your’s is not 700 series( I am not sure which brand is that).
No modification or fabrication to parts is needed, they fit just right.
I tested the bagger and I was vowed, it gave me a clean cut with hardly any clippings flying around. The transparent tube is great if you want to see grass travelling.
Only gripe is the locks on both sides of plastic cover they could have been better as they are not easy to open.
