Don’t waste money on this. Is like a toy for the garden and not a tool. I used it couple of times and is like playing. Does not keep charge for more than 5 min. Charging time is longer than an hour. I have to do my front yard everyday a little bit.

I didn’t even realize they still made these! Our gas mower bit the dust last fall and when I was shopping this spring, I came across these. I hate being dependant on gas, since we live so far from town. So, I purchased this. I can’t say I’m sorry. This thing is awesome. I got the 20″ deck and bought the 4 year warranty as well. We tested it as soon as it arrived; in the rain on 8″+ long grass. Barely any jamming, as opposed to a choked gas mower. Had to go over a few spots, but that’s to be expected for grass heavy and wet enough to make mulch. My 12 year old son is so excited about this mower, that he voluntarily mows. It takes a bit of a push to get it started, but when it’s moving, even my 5 year old daughter can use it. Overall, I am thrilled with this mower. The only cons I have found are that the bagger is tiny af so it doesn’t hold much and the blade jams on sticks any thicker than a chopstick. Neither issue would deter me from purchasing again.

The charger for the battery was the wrong voltage so the mower was returned

I like pretty much everything about this. The only
thing I struggle a bit with is taking out the battery
from the mower to charge it. There is not quite enough
room to grasp it well, so you need strong fingers to wiggle
it out. other than that, it does just what I need it to do.

Ordered this mower to replace a rechargeable mower that is not holding the charge for very long and was heavy to push. Our first mower was a reel type and thought we would give this a try. Was very disappointed with it. No matter how it was adjusted it was very difficult to push and seemed to tear the grass blades rather then cut them. As a result, we returned the product.

I purchased two of these mowers to replace our riding lawnmower, one for myself to push and one for my son to push. With two of us on the job, we can tackle our large(ish) rural yard in about the same or slightly less time than the rider. Here are my pros/cons:

    PROS
    – No need for fuel
    – Yard looks great when finished.
    – No need to replace batteries (like I have to yearly do with my rider after the harsh northern Minnesota winters)
    – Plenty of mulch production (that we use to feed our rabbits and for landscaping)
    – Great workout. I generally try to pace myself at a jog to sneak in a good workout. I love multitasking!
    – Quiet
    – No exhaust, so you can breath in the smells of nature and freshly cut grass while you mow.
    – 4 year warranty.

    CONS
    – Bought two. One died after two months of use (thus reflected in the overall rating). Mower blades quit spinning during forward motion and clicks like it does when pulled in reverse. Both ran under the same conditions and about the same operating time. 2019.06.03 UPDATE: Opened up the faulty mower and discovered the gears on both sides were worn out. They are made out of plastic. Contacted support. Waited on the phone for a hour, now they are sending replacement gears. I should not have had to wait on the phone for an hour, and these gears, which are crucial to the operation of this mower should not be made out of plastic. 2019.06.10 UPDATE: Received replacement mower rather than just replacement gears!! Updated rating from 2 starts to 5 stars to reflect the level of customer service received. I do have some concerns about the plastic gears again wearing out, but have since found a cheap mechanical solution (involving the addition of one screw and bolt per gear) that will work to resolve the issue once these mowers are out of warranty.
    – Small sticks will bring you to a sudden halt. Probably what damaged the plastic gears mentioned above!
    – We had an amazing acorn crop this year. These mowers proved impossible to mow any grass anywhere there was a heavy acorn drop. The acorns prevented the wheels from turning, thus the blades would not spin.
    – Some random weeds sneak past the mower. Most grasses have not been a problem.
    – Does not cut reliably on steep terrain, like the ditch along our driveway.
    – If you let your lawn get too long (6-7 inches), you will be mowing it twice to get it evenly cut.
    – Foam on the handle is wearing out after a year of use.

Overall, I have been pleased with this mower. It meets my desire to make mowing a multi function endeavor: Mowing the lawn + exercise + collection of fresh mulch for our rabbits and landscaping.

It is small but it cuts good and it is easy to move around, whoever invented it did a good job,I think it’s nice for light work. Should be worth the money I think.

Hi. I’m just a regular guy living an ordinary suburban life in America, and I’m here to tell you that I have been lied to my entire life. At 35 years old, I have been mowing a yard on a weekly basis for 20+ years. In that time I have owned at least 4 gas powered mowers that I can recall, each *absolutely necessary* and all succumbing to the same slow death as the last as they are beaten and neglected by an end user without a degree in small engine repair – Ugly, heavy, cumbersome, and smelling of gasoline soaked grass clippings, even the handiest homeowner is guilty of allowing their mower to enter into the spiral of desperate disrepair from which the mower will never return. <- For years, I believed that this was simply the life cycle of the modern lawn mower, never once stopping to consider whether or not there was a better option. And anyways, I thought much as you do – How could there be a better option than strapping a 18" blade onto a gas powered engine?

    Well folks, I’m here to tell you that everything you think you know about mowing your yard is nonsense. Here are some falsehoods I discovered with my new mower;
*My gas mower is self propelled and easier to push than a reel mower: While the reel mower is not self propelled, it weighs a good 50lbs less. If you can push a children’s stroller without assistance, you can push this mower. It’s just as easy to push, and EASIER to turn.
*My gas mower cuts the lawn better than a reel mower could: The reel mower left a MORE beautiful cut than the gas mower and I didn’t have to revisit patches. Long (8″+) grass or weeds need to be whacked or pulled, but since mowing is easier than its ever been I’ll just make sure it doesn’t get that tall.
*My gas mower makes me smell like a cross between Rambo and Mad Max, and my Wife loves it: No, she doesn’t, trust me. Your family doesn’t like the grass stains and soot all over your stanky clothes, and neither should you! This reel mower uses no gas, has no exhaust, and creates no dust/dirt/grass powder. I used to get dirty just looking at my gas mower, but not anymore.
*The roar of my 49cc gas powered mower lets my neighbors know I’m doing my yard work AND I’m masculine enough to use power tools: If you have masculinity issues and think using a push powered mower would hurt your sensitive self image, then this is NOT for you. Your neighbors wont hear you mowing ever again.

Imagine if cutting the lawn was an easy, quiet, and relatively clean chore – Well friend, I’m telling you that for a hundred bucks it can be. Put that dying old mower on craigslist, it’s time for an upgrade.
