Although it seems a little more fragile than the Hayward filter it was half the price of the original one and half the price the local pool store wanted for the one that they recommended that looked like it would dissolve in water. It definitely filters well and the flow is as it should be. I had no trouble cleaning it and I believe it will last quite a while with the correct maintenance.

I didn’t install this but my pool guy told me what I needed and it was super easy to find on Amazon and it fits perfectly in the pump and works wonderfully

This filter is just as good as the name brand but for less money than the name brand. Been using this filter for years now.

This will be the third one I bought. No problems. The filter works, my pool is clean, and the price is good.
As far as the flow, I have a spillover waterfall from the hot tub into my pool, and it’s a decent eyeball-measurement of flow, and the flow is just fine.

This filter is a perfect fit at $60 less than my local pool supply store. It is as easy to clean as the OEM part and seems to last as well. Seriously, no pool filter element is fun to clean, or easy, but this replacement at least hurts the wallet less.

I change out my filter at least once per week, sometimes twice depending on how much swimming is done, and I always have two cartridge filters for my pool so I can change them quickly. Once I pull the dirty one out I replace it with my second filter and then clean the dirty one which then becomes my “backup”. I purchased one of the Pleatco filters at the start of the summer to replace one of my older filters and was so impressed after a few cleanings that I purchased as second one!
The pleated material seems more durable than the older brand I was using. The Pleatco material seems like it’s more on the plastic side whereas my old filter was more paper-like. The material filters out impurities extremely well, leaving my water crystal clear. The filters are also MUCH easier to clean than the previous brand I was using. I’ve had these in use for 3 months now and after each cleaning the pleated material rinses out to a brilliant white in color and the filter looks brand new.
I highly recommend!
