Product showed up with bronze finish damaged and flaking off. Seems like cheap junk to me. Would not recommend.

UPDATE: I contacted the company and they sent me another bowl. Great customer service. Unfortunately the replacement showed up with the same problem (flaking finish) except even worse than the original one.

Good effort by customer service, lousy product. For that reason, 2 stars.

Does just what it should .

I personally found it easy to assemble. It took me just a couple of minutes.

It’s a good size. And the two levels means it saves space on my table. Very pretty and it works. My bananas are lasting longer.

Ig feels very sturdy. I have put dome rather large bunches of bananas on it, that gave Bern pretty heavy. It’s been holding them easily.

Huge basket that holds serveral bags of fruit. Unbruised bananas from beginning to end, what more could you ask for? The kids eat more fruit when they see it out.

As the headline implies, it broke. I just got it, opened it, it needed some assembly, but it was very easy; then as i go to hang the bunch of bananas, the hook fell off! It just fell off at the slightest touch. The bunch didn’t even hang before it broke, i didn’t get that far in the hanging process.

    Returned it.

Price is good, item looks nice, and everything seems well built, except the hook. Looking over how it was soldered, i feel a full bunch of bananas may be much anyway.

Would I buy again? Nah. I had a nice woven basket i went back to.
(Originally gave it 3 stars, but after reading over my review, i didn’t have the basket for longer than 5 minutes before i was on Amazon filling out the return process. Demoted to 2 stars.)

It is perfect. Allowed us to get the random fruit off the counter and it holds quite a bit. Assembly was a piece of cake, had it done in about 5 minutes.

I’ve just moved and am looking for products to organize the kitchen. I’ve seen this sort of product over the years (in catalogs and on TV), and I’ve liked the look. When I saw this one offered, I decided to check it out.

It comes in a couple “colors,” but, as I’m going for a rustic look in my new kitchen (and since the previous owner went with aged-bronze hardware that I like for that look), I decided to order this in the bronze finish.

Reading the reviews, I noticed a few mentioned that this came with missing or uneven feet, making their baskets wobbly. Thankfully, mine had no such issues. The feet (little circles welded onto the base) were well attached and evenly spaced, so no wonky wobbling!

The first photo I took was of the instructions page. Just one page. There’s only one thing to assemble, and, for most, it would probably be easy peasy. For me, however, it was an ordeal (thanks to the almost-microscopic screws)! All you have to do is take the hanging-bananas piece and feed it into the waiting brackets at the back, then drive the screws into place to secure the hanging rod. What could be simpler, right? Wrong! Having just trimmed my nails, they weren’t as long as they normally are, but, even with shorter nails, it took me AGES (read: minutes) to get the bloody screws into the tiny holes! Oh, my gosh! You need three hands AND no nails to do it! One hand to hold the basket steady, another to fiddle with the screws, and a third to wipe your brow as you perform delicate surgery! Seriously. There are only two screws, but, man, did it feel as if there were more. My nails kept making it almost impossible to get a hold of the screws and then kept preventing me from getting too close to the basket WITH the screws. I kept losing grip of the screws, dropping them on the counter or floor. It was an interesting endeavor. (And, yes, I’m aware it comes with an Allen wrench, but, well, in the first place, I hate the bloody things as they NEVER work easily for me (though I DID try them anyway) and, in this case, didn’t even fit into the screws to begin with! So, the Allen wrench was a no-go for me.) But to the victor go the spoils—in this case, victress with her first functional fruit basket!

Now, I don’t normally leave cantaloupe out on the counter, but I wanted to show the capacity of the interior. The larger oranges and the cantaloupe, and there’s still room inside for, say, apples, lemons, or limes. And to hang the bananas, just put the knob at the end of the hanging arm through the top of the banana cluster. Nothing simpler.

So, aside from that little nails-screws hiccup (which wasn’t enough of an issue to detract from a five-star rating), there was no problem in packaging, assembly, or display. I can recommend this product—with only one caveat: If you’re a girl with any amount of nail extending past the fingertips, then find a girlfriend who bites hers or give your man a my-hero thrill by asking him to rescue the long-nailed damsel in distress in dealing with the Lilliputian screws. You’ll make his day and save yourself a headache.

(About the pictures: The first is the infamous Instructions page. The second is a shot from the front of the basket. The third is from the side. The fourth is from the back. The fifth is a closeup (and a little blurry) of the arm’s bracket-and-screw area.)

This was a bit larger than I had expected, but it’s actually perfect. The bananas hang high enough that they’re not setting on the things in teh basket below. I keep my tomatoes, onions, garlic, and sometimes extra bananas in the bottom part. I always kept either plates or bowls on my counter with these things in them, but this looks much nicer, more organized, and it keeps the bananas better. The color is beautiful. It seems sturdy. I’m happy with it.

Love it! I used to have 4 regular fruit bowls to hold all my stuff. Now I am down to this and one for things like garlic that will fall through the holes. One of my other bowls was a beautiful shamrock green fiestaware bowl and I miss the bright colors of the bowls. Only thing that could be better than this if there was a large 2 tiered solid colorful bowl!

The bronze wrought iron basket looks nice and feels sturdy but two of the screws on the top tier basket do not tighten all the way in with sharp edges felt on the screws. I felt lucky that the 4 tightening screws to the bottom basket all went in well and need the secured hold more than the top tier. It only arrived 3 days ago and we will see its durability through the coming years.

easy to put together until you go to the screws or whatever they are called. They are so small only a barbie can handle them. The hole that they go in is very small. In my opinion not worth the effort unless you have superman vision, 4 hands and very tiny hands. I would .have returned both of them but i dropped the little pieces 3 times and the last time they went under the stove. I would not buy these. PS all of the reviews i saw were for the single tier. I got the 2 tier. Also i did not see anything that said assembly required. I have a small one that did not need assembly

This fruit bowl is way bigger than I thought it would be but I like it anyway. Since I don’t have enough fruits to fill up the two layers, I used the upper layer for my plant. It was easy to assemble and it is sturdy. I highly recommend this fruit bowl if you have the space

Product arrived in excellent condition. Instructions stated that I was to connect the included 2 hex screws to the banana holder using the included allen wrench but neither was in the package. This didn’t take away from the product but you can pull the banana holder itself out of the basket bracket. It will stay in place with our without bananas being on it. I’m sure it was a safety feature if the basket was moved it would not fall out if tipped over. I ordered a few items with this package and it seem that this package was opened to be placed in a larger box with the other items. Even though it was in it’s plastic (not sealed), I’m sure this is where the lost items fell out. Of all hardware was included I would have given it 5 stars. Again it’s still sturdy and has a large basket. A must buy even with out the 2 hex screws. My bananas are hanging just fine.

This basket is amazing! I am so happy I finally purchased one. I have always set my Fruit on the counter in the bag which is obviously terrible for them and they go bad so quick this way. I have said for ver a year that I need to get a fruit basket and finally broke down to get one. This is the best basket and I can fit an entire bag of Halo oranges, and Pink Lady apples with room to spare with hanging bananas so they do not over ripe.

The basket quality is excellent, the banana hanger is super simple to attach to to the basket or it can be used without the hanger if preferred. The size and durability are fantastic. The basket has not bent with weight. Love it and I’m so happy I went with this one. You will not be disappointed!
