We felt so much better having this cover this past winter where temperatures regularly reached -20 and -30 C. We would lay a blanket underneath and baby was very toasty. The flaps are great, but since they do not button up (which we get – don’t want to suffocate baby), the wind would often blow the flaps open. We ended up putting the visor back overtop our Chicco Keyfit 30, which made for a bit of a clunky looking car seat. The only drawbacks are that it is a bit tricky to get baby in and out, and now that baby is getting taller, it’s a bit tight around his feet. Good thing spring is around the corner!

I bought this for my baby to use during a cold Ontario winter. All research strongly urges against placing any extra material under your baby in the car seat (which is the case with most similar products). This was perfect and fit well on my Peg Perego car seat. It allows room for the baby to move around, as well as to add extra blankets on top of the baby as needed, depending on the temperature. It is made of quality, water/wind resistant material, and is easy to take on and off of the car seat as needed. Several people have made positive comments about the look of the cover when I have been out with my baby.

Works well; baby is nice and toasty. Fits easily on my peg perego car seat. A couple of cons- you can’t use the car seat shade with this on, I can’t use the flaps to cover my baby’s face since the flaps rest right up against his face (2 month old). I’m a little disappointed that I can’t use it to cover his face since that’s the whole reason I bought it (for protection against the Canadian winter wind). Maybe it’s just how it sits on my car seat. Still a good product.

Great for cold winter weather! My only complaint is that with my car seat (Uppababy Mesa) this cover goes over the canopy so it can’t be opened. So if she falls asleep I can’t shade her head/eyes and don’t want to cover her face with this for any length of time. I’m not sure if that’s how it fits other car seats too but it’s a bit annoying. Otherwise I love it. It’s easy to put on and to open and close. Keeps the cold out!

Oh my goodness. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this car seat cover. I just had my infant 2 months ago and I have already tried so many car seat covers. This is the only one I will use now. This cover hugs onto the car seat tight but wasn’t a pain to get on. Its breathable. Its easy to open so I’m not struggling to get the baby out of the seat but still protects the baby from the harsh elements like snow and wind. When we get out of the car i can just flip the little folds over so the baby isn’t exposed to the cold weather and then when we get into the car i can just easily flip them open so she doesn’t get to hot. This has turned out to be the only cover that has met my high expectations and it was super affordable. I Love this cover and highly recommend it.

This is great for winter babies. No hassle and worry about padded snowsuits. Just pop them in as is with or without a blanket and you are good to go (although a hat and mitts and sometimes booties are a good idea). I have had a ton of compliments on it and hope to pass it on to a friend when no longer needed. It fits our Cybex Aton Q perfectly. Would highly recommend.

The product is well made, no doubt about that. We just don’t find it as convenient as it looks. The reviews on this were promising so we thought for sure we’d love it, instead, we find the fit tight and the opening not as manageable. As mentioned, when putting the cover over our baby carrier, the fit is really tight and yet, there are openings on each side where the carrier handles are that allow cold air in. We live in Wisconsin so that cold air is traitorous for an infant. The opening itself looked like it would cover the whole opening when closed, however, there’s a slight upper part that’s not covered, again letting in cold air and when closed, the upper part of the cover sinks into the baby’s face which irritates our infant who ends up crying it out. As a result, we can’t really cover him and have to use a wrap or blanket over the opening, which defeats the purpose of that opening cover. Originally I was going to go with a different cover which I’d been researching for a while and out of nowhere, I saw this one and on a whim purchased it. I do regret that decision but it’s done and since we don’t want to lose money out on this and buy another one, we’re just going to stick with it for now.

LOVE this cover! Our baby was born in December and Utah winters are cold! It’s hard feeling comfortable taking your newborn out at all, let alone in the winter months. I came to Amazon to find a car seat cover mostly to keep out germs and then stumbled across this style- realizing I could also have a cover that provided warmth like a sealed blanket. I bought this cover and also a cover by JJ Cole (another top seller on amazon). Both are great, but this is my favorite. I returned the other one and kept this one BECAUSE…
It’s soft on the inside and the outside feels very weatherproof but isn’t too stiff, it zips and unzips easily, the elastic is tight and provides a secure fit with no gaps, the opening is adjustable and fleece lined. With this cover, I’m no longer trying to stuff a blanket in around my baby or block them from the cold while I run quickly from my car to get inside. It’s cozy and convenient, what’s not to like? At first I didn’t think either cover (this or the JJ Cole cover) would work because I wasn’t sure how to fit it on while still having the hood on the car seat. Then I figured out that I could pull the hood all the way back and attach the cover all the way around the rim of the car seat and then pull the hood back up. Problem solved! I imagine that I’ll use this clear through April. So glad to have it!

As of this review, we have used this car seat cover three times. We were very excited when this cover arrived just in time for the winter cold.
Size: This item was a perfect fit for our baby’s infant car seat (Cybex Aton), and did not cover the side impact bars (see 4th picture). We were able to pull the cover over the car seat easily within a few seconds, the elastic edge held in place firmly and we have not taken it off since.
Material: The outside material is similar to the smooth material of a sleeping bag, and the inside is a soft plush/fleece material. Feels extremely well made and warm.
Color: We ordered the black cover with white/cream interior. It looked true to the description pictures and was very sleek and matches any car seat color. The black buttons also matched the cover.
Warmth: While the flaps were open, we were able to feel our baby, and the temperature was very comfortable when we were outside in 10 degree F weather. We also found this cover to be extremely helpful when it is windy. We previously had a blanket that would not stay in place when the wind blew.
Price: A very good value for the price. We saw similar covers that were much pricier but we did not feel we were sacrificing anything by getting this cover. Especially since our baby will likely outgrow the car seat after one winter, this was definitely worth it. Most importantly, this cover does not cause any safety concerns, that is, it does not go between the baby and the car seat, but simply goes over the car seat. We could also remove the cover easily while in the car but chose to leave it in place.
Ease of use: The zipper is extremely easy to use with one hand, which is vital when we are also holding our little one in the other hand. The buttons are a bit stiff and sometimes need both hands to undo but we prefer that, instead of the opposite where it undo too easily.
Improvements: Only one in regards to the strap that holds the unzipped cover. There is one strap that holds the middle of the cover so the top and bottom of the cover would flap around and appear less sleek. Definitely not a deal breaker and does its job. Perhaps once the cover is rolled up, there could be similar buttons on the top and bottom of the cover itself that hold it in place and do away with the strap.
Overall: A very good investment and would definitely recommend this product. We hope to get a similar product for the stroller once we reach that stage.

I got this car seat cover to fit over my Chicco keyfit 30. Although it does fit over it leaves a huge gap where the baby’s face would be. Could it perfectly lay down if I positioned it just right, probably, but any movement at all and it gaps and would hit the baby’s face and leave a gap in the top for wind or rain. It seems very counterintuitive. It’s really great if you want to keep the face part pulled back with a baby’s face exposed but if you want to close it up to avoid draft or snow or rain this is definitely not the right cover. Really disappointed and confused with all of the positive reviews on this, maybe it’s just the Chicco car seat that I have that it doesn’t want to fit but it just doesn’t fit tight enough. I had to return it I think I’m going to go with a JJ Cole.
