Wella EIMI Thermal Styling Products for Heat Protection and Anti-Frizz, Hair Lotions & Sprays

My hair type: long & thick, but fine. I live in a very hot/dry area, and struggle with dryness, especially in the summer.

This lightweight hair lotion (it is a fairly thin consistency, definitely not a balm but a lotion) has a nice smell and feel to it that isn’t overpowering. However, it does almost nothing to tame the frizz and dryness in my hair. I find that it takes at least a few pumps to get any difference in my hair, but that is enough product to weigh down my hair and leave buildup. I now combine it with a heavy hair serum to get use out of it, and will likely not repurchase. If you need just a little bit of moisturizing & sleekness, this would be useful.

Unfortunately I had to return this item and didn’t get to try it. Even though it was wrapped well and had what seemed to be enough protection in the box for it the bottom had come out and the product had leaked all in the box. My hairstylist used this in my hair so I know it works and it is awesome!

This is a multi tasking miracle worker! I am a barber and a cosmetologist and I go through tons of this product. If you have naturally curly hair or severly damaged hair this is a must have. You put it on damp hair. It has proteins and moisturizers in it that help nourish the hair, as well as a mild heat protectant and a gentle hold. You can let it air dry for well set/defined (natural) curls or you can round brush it or use a pic attachment to blowdry it strait. I always use extra heat protectant because even virgin curly hair is porus and vulnerable. But it’s light, doesn’t flake or get crunchy, I can’t tell you how many styles this has saved for me. Works on all hair types, but could weigh down strait or fine hair. The fragrance is light and floral, kind of like a bar of soap, like all of the eimi line, so I think it’s suitable for men’s styling and ladies do’s.

I have very damaged hair (too many color changes over the years) and this product does a good job restoring softness and some elasticity to my hair. When it’s less humid, I can skip other products and just use this and my blowdryer and my hair turns out silky and is very manageable. However, with the high summer humidity in Maryland I have to add an additional product to keep my hair under control. I apply this after washing and each night before bed when I don’t wash, and my hair feels much healthier and is less tangled in the morning. Very good product.

This works really well when I use it before blow drying. I’m trying to cut down on heat treatments, so I do not use it every day. But when I do blow dry, I blot as much water as I can out with a towel, pump 4 pumps of product into my palm and rub between palms before applying to the bottom half of my hair. Then, I style as usually and this seems to tame and protect my long hair.

Love this product! Makes hair shined and soft!
