I had tried a couple other Avalon Organics products before without any issues. I loved how this product smelled, but upon using it my scalp felt even more irritated, oily and gritty. My hair felt listless. It was only when I used the shampoo with some other brand of shampoo and conditioner that my hair and scalp felt ok. I wish I’d returned this in time, I won’t be using it again.

I’m not sure I should continue using this stuff but it seems to work well and hasn’t caused any problems with my scalp or hair. I get the desired results, softer hair, smooth look. The scent claims to be Mint. I only smell a chemical-like scent you’d find in plastics or some other man-made product. I won’t buy it again but again, can’t complain about the efficacy of the product from a performance perspective, only scent issues.

I have limp, very fine hair. Based on the reviews I was hoping to get some volume with this brand’s shampoo and this conditioner. I did not get any volume after using product for about two weeks . More importantly my hair felt heavy, oily, stringy after usage. It did not help with coming out the hair, either. Nah and the smell of it… do not know how to describe it…no distinguishable smell, just unpleasant. Finally i just stopped using both products and threw them out.

I like this conditioner as it’s organic but didn’t like the way it made my hair feel after rinsing , felt very unclean and needed to condition it again . I don’t think I’ll buy this brand again unfortunately . The bottle is beautiful 🤩 though .

I’ve been using this conditioner for years. I typically buy it on Amazon from whichever seller has the cheapest price and have never had any issues. This time, however, I received an obviously counterfeit product. After years of daily use, I know very well how this should appear. It’s usually a bright white conditioner with a thick, yet almost whipped texture. This time, I received a pale yellow product with a goopy, lotion-like texture. It smelled like it was about 40% authentic product cut with 60% unscented lotion… Unfortunately, since I ordered this bottle preemptively and didn’t open it until I finished my last one, I’m out of the return window. I wish I’d looked earlier since there was some dried yellowish stuff on the lid before I even opened it, which points to tampering. So whatever you do, do not purchase from this seller even if they are the cheapest. They are peddling fake products, which is extra unethical in this case since this is made for sensitive skin!

I started using this product a a little over a week ago. I bought the shampoo and the conditioner because I’m switching all my products to natural /organic /vegan ones so it doesn’t harm the environment or my body. This was the first natural conditioner I’ve tried.

The shampoo itself is very astringent. My hair is very fine and once I put it on, my hair fells like rubber. It would be ok if the conditioner fixed it later, but that’s not what happens. The conditioner doesn’t do much. When I try to comb my hair, it’s extremely tangled and not soft.

I usually wash my hair every other day, and sometimes I even skip 2 days without washing it. But with this product, if I wash my hair in the morning, at night it will feel like it’s dirty again.

To make things worse, my scalp, the back of my neck, and the area behind my ears started itching, as if I had spent many days without washing my hair. At first I thought it was just dirty and I should just wash it. But then I started washing it pretty much every day, and the reaction just got worse.

I just used some allergy cream (at least on my neck and back of ears, since the scalp has hair and it’s hard to use creams…) and I’m hoping it’s gonna help the itchy feeling. It’s driving me crazy. I’ve never had allergies to any personal care products before. I’m surprised a “natural, organic, non gmo” product gave me that reaction.

Unfortunately, this product is not eligible for returning. So it will just need to go to trash. Very disappointed.

Update: The allergy is still bad on my scalp and neck (where it all started), and now it is spreading to other parts of my body where the product touched. I’ll need to go see a doctor. Never had allergies to any shampoos before. =( These on my face are not zits… there are red bumpy itchy dots all over my face now too.

For the first month, it was great. My dry scalp from the weather seemed to have lessened, my hair was soft, and it wasn’t heavy on my hair. Suddenly, any place on my skin, except my hands, that the conditioner had touched became inflamed. The itching was so intense, I thought I had lice. My ears were inflamed, the itch was rather painful, and even 10 days after the last use, my scalp and neck were still not back to normal. I have not been able to isolate which ingredient I am sensitive to. Horrible experience.

This conditioner IS NOT if you just want your hair to feel silky smooth etc. I have suffer from chronic dermatitis on my scalp. This is the ONLY thing that give me relief from a life of hell. I have tried steroids, moisturizers, sea salt, essential oils, and a bunch of other things that are supposed to help. IF you have dry, flaky, itchy scalp BUY THIS CONDITIONER use it everyday and let it sit in your hair for about 5 minutes making sure that it is sitting on your scalp. If you leave it open it will dry out and get thicker than normal. When I use this conditioner I use A LOT of it because it doesn’t spread very well. The ingredients in this conditioner could not be better. If you have itchy scalp do not listen to the bad reviews because they are from people who do not suffer itchy scalp. The relief that this conditioner has given me was life changing and fix a problem that I thought I would have to live with for the rest of my life.

Been using for about 2 weeks. So far, so good. Tried to find a product that wasn’t too costly, but more natural. I think I found it. Conditioner is a bit different that what I am used to, not bad at all, just different. Hair feels great.

I bought it as a scalp normalizing conditioner but it seems to have a different combination of ingredients to my previous bottles and is not as good
