I wanted to warn people that the official large mesh steamer basket which is supposed to fit the 6 or 8 quart Instant Pot Ultra is much too small for the 8 quart Instant Pot Ultra! It does not begin to take full advantage of the abundant space available in the 8 quart inner pot. I previously ordered a Hatrigo steamer basket for my Instant Pot Ultra Mini and was delighted with it! It fit like a glove in the 3 quart inner pot! From the first photo, you can see how much better the Hatrigo steamer basket (intended for the 3 quart Instant Pot) fit the 3 quart inner pot than the official steamer basket (stated to work for the 6 or 8 quart Instant Pot) fit the 8 quart inner pot!
The Hatrigo steamer basket had the additional advantage that it elevated the contents of the basket enough that you could pour a cup of water into the inner pot without getting the food in the basket wet and soggy! In contrast, the official steamer basket appears to only elevate the food inside by about half as much as the Hatrigo steamer basket, as you can hopefully see in the 2nd photo by compaing the length of the legs.
I would now like to order a new Hatrigo steamer basket manufactured to fit the 8 quart Instant Pot, as I wish that I had done initially. I anticipate that it will probably work as well for the 8 quart Instant Pot as the smaller version did for my 3 quart Instant Pot Mini.
I would also like to say that I am really enjoying my terrific new Instant Pot Ultra Mini and think that I will enjoy my new 8 quart version even more with its bountiful space and even greater capabilities! Both Instant Pots should both be a great asset in helping me to prepare tasty vegan food for my health as well as that of the animals and the planet!

I have a 6 quart Instant Pot. I use these for steaming vegetables like carrots and broccoli. I have also used them to put eggs in. When I wash them I turn them upside down and spray them with the sprayer at the kitchen sink and that usually knocks any loose food off then I wash them. It’s better to rinse them with the sprayer also. You can also put your vegetables in and rinse your vegetables in them as well. I have had no problem with mine and use them several times a week ( have only had them for a few weeks when posting this review). No problems. I store them inside my Instant Pot when not in use also to save space.

This Product is supposed to be stellus still but is not. I don’t recommend anyone to perches this item because rusted easily is dangerous for hygiene reason.

It is not as fine or as big as it looks in the photo. It has the wire consistency of a regular colander. It works with legumes, but I doubt it will hold finer ingredients.

It is objectively NOT large. The canning jar in the photo shown for reference is 1 quart. This product’s description includes “Compatible with 6-quart and 8-quart cookers.” Sure. “Compatible” as in “it will fit.” But so would a thimble, . That’s a borderline fraudulent representation of this basket’s size. I tried VERY HARD when deciding whether or not to buy this to find the exact volume (i.e “quarts”). I now realize that the conspicuous absence of that info was likely by design to obscure how “large” it ISN’T.

Okay so I enjoy making potato salad or just a basket of hard boiled eggs so with the basket I can hard boil the eggs while I cook the diced potatoes on the bottom of the pot. Dice the potatoes and but them in the bottom of the pot and cover them with water put the eggs in the basket and put them on top of the potatoes and pressure cook for five minutes. Unseal by releasing the pressure and put the pot on saute and finish boiling the potatoes while I am cooling and pealing the eggs. I then cut the eggs in half and take out the yolk to mix with mayonnaise and celery salt and white pepper . Dice the whites by putting them into an egg slicer in two directions. Cool the potatoes and dice some red onion and Koshare garlic pickles and diced celery then assemble.

I wanted a sturdy mesh strainer for my 6 QT Instant Pot that didn’t have silicone feet or handle. Why? Because food particles can get trapped easily between the silicone and the metal, making cleaning a chore, or worse, causing health problems. This one is strong enough not to bend or dent and is minus the silicone. I use it to quickly steam potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, green beans, etc. in my Instant Pot. After removing the veggies, I quickly rinse the steamer and there is no food buildup. Okay, once I let it sit too long, but after a go in dishwasher, it came out shiny clean.

This set of two baskets for the IP are impressive. Although one sits inside the other, they certainly hold more than you think. I was able to use both my 6L and 3L IP’s for Christmas Day lunch veggies without using the hob at all! Mission accomplished! I would definitely recommend this product to all you IP lovers out there.

As these only arrived today, I haven’t had the opportunity to use them yet, but I was impressed with the fast delivery as I wasn’t expecting them for another week as they are shipped from the US. I bought these mainly for steaming but also for removing the remains of chicken and vegetables when making stock. It is a lot easier to lift everything out rather than having to strain out the pieces from a hot and heavy pot.

I am a firm believer in sometimes it doesn’t save to buy off brand accessories and this is one of those situations. I had some other IP accessories and they just don’t work as expected. I decided to purchase name brand and boy I was not disappointed. These are so perfect. I have the 8qt IP and they fit perfectly. I used the large basket already for potatoes and it was so nice to be able to lift them straight out. They are sturdy and nice quality as well. Must have for vegetables and eggs as well!

Fits my instant pot and does the job. The unprotected handle gets incredibly hot – others have a silicone cover, which is better. The main issue is that the fine mesh basket is incredibly difficult to wash.

What a great all-round utensil for the Instant Pot. It arrived early and in pristine condition – thank you Prime! This is my go-to accessory for steaming – especially odd sized and over sized vegetables. And, i easily holds 1 to 18 eggs for cooking.. When it is not being used in the Instant Pot, it also is an excellent cullender. Great kitchen accessory! I chose this over a perforated insert, for its lightness, durability and ease of cleaning. Good purchase for any kitchen!
