My daughters and I have been consuming foods and beverages that are adaptogens to help with hormone balancing. I’m 53 and officially in menopause so trying to increase estrogen. My daughters both have a genetic mutation that makes them low in estrogen, so they are also trying to increase it. This oatmeal sounded like a great way to do this.

This isn’t too bad! It’s sweet and flavorful and nothing stands out as off-flavored. I like to add a little butter, because eating oatmeal without butter is almost sinful in my eyes. ha! But if you’re not one to use butter in oatmeal, you’ll definitely enjoy this.

The instructions are vague. It says to pour boiling water to cover the oats, but as soon as you pour the water, the oats float, so it’s kind of a guessing game. The first time I made it, I put the lid on and let it sit 4 minutes (per instructions) but it was too thick, so I added a bit more water to thin it out a bit.

I ordered the Cranberry “Happy Oats” and they are so yummy! Lightly sweetened, a decent amount of dried cranberries, and lots of cinnamon. I’m having a cup as a midnight snack right now as I write this, listening to a thunderstorm roll in, it’s so warming and comforting!

You cannot taste the reishi or St John’s Wort at all, it just tastes like good oatmeal. They’re easy to make by boiling some water up in my electric kettle quick, covering the oats, and letting them sit for 4 minutes.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the packs of 5 come loose in a big bag together and they can bang around and get dented depending on how they end up getting packed for shipping. And there’s a Prop 65 warning on the sides of the cups… I’m not sure if it’s for the plastic film seal on the top of the cups, or what?

I was surprised how much I like the flavor of this oatmeal. It’s nice and thick–and it has a good texture to it.

Personally, I prefer to add a little bit of sugar to it, because it’s sweet, but not quite sweet enough for my palate. But my girlfriend, who doesn’t like overly sweet things, thinks it’s perfect.

You don’t notice any unusual flavors from the adaptogens. I love that it’s got the St John’s wort and mushrooms in there. This is a great idea and a wonderful blend.

    Highly recommended!

Adapto Foods Oatmeal Cups Adaptogen Boosted Cranberry Upbeat Oats, Reishi Mushroom, St. John’s Wort, Superfood, 5 Meals (Cranberry)

My husband and youngest son love oatmeal, so I got this for them to use for a quick breakfast with the added benefits just being icing on the cake (so to speak). They thought this tasted great for a quick oatmeal meal. It wasn’t overly sweet or taste too much like cranberry (youngest isn’t a huge fan). As others have mentioned, it’s not clear on the instructions how much water to use, but hubby said that he used 1/2 of a cup is good for a “thicker” oatmeal, more or less depending on how you like it. They would both definitely buy again. Recommend.

Adapto Foods Happy Oats, Adaptogen Boosted Cranberry, comes in 2.1 oz. cups that hold one serving. It’s an easy to prepare food that is ready in 4 minutes after adding boiling water.

The ingredients are good quality and include additives thought to help enhance mood and increase calmness. My husband eats oatmeal each day and he found this to be a sweet and tasty formula. As far as any boost from the additives, he hasn’t noticed any difference.

This Adaptogen Boosted Cranberry contains Reishi Mushroom and St. John’s Wort. It’s a flavorful oatmeal. The Best By date on the cups that we received is 13 months in the future.

I like this adaptogen-boosted oatmeal in a cup. It is easy to prepare and tastes great. The cranberry flavor is good and fresh. It is fortified with reishi mushroom and St. John’s wort to help with the immune system and healthy mood. The ingredients are clean and simple, most of which are organic.

This comes as a pack of 5 individual cups in a plastic bag. Simply add hot water, stir and steep for 4 minutes. Each cup contains 8g of added sugar, 6g of fiber and 230 calories. It makes a tasty and healthy breakfast, snack or a light meal. I would recommend giving it a try. Good product.

This is good tasting oatmeal in a convenient portable packaging. The cup is sturdy enough to survive boiling water and can be rinsed out for recycling.

The oats are delicious. They are creamy and have a light cranberry flavor that does not overpower the oatmeal. I did not taste mushrooms or any of the adaptogens. There is no aftertaste.

The instructions to make the oatmeal are vague and state to add water to just cover the oats. The first time I made this, covering the oats was not enough water. I got really thick, sticky oatmeal. The next time I made it, I measured how much water was needed. Slightly over ½ cup made oatmeal the way I like it.

My husband eats oatmeal every morning. He loves trying new brands and flavors. Based on the product description, he knew this was going to be a premium quality oatmeal. (and it was!)

This isn’t like your sugary sweet mainstream brand oatmeal. This is much, MUCH better!!!

The 230 calorie single serve cup contains 7 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber so it’s quite filling! For some, the 2.1 oz portion size may or may not be enough. My husband typically consumes more than that but these are much more convenient and saves him time on super busy mornings. He loves that he can just add the desired amount of water or almond milk (he uses unsweetened vanilla almond milk most of the time), microwave, and it’s ready to go! No bowl necessary! 🙂 If you boil the water beforehand, you just pour, let it sit, and it’s ready to go!

This isn’t a sugary sweet oatmeal but it has plenty of flavor! You can’t taste the Reishi mushrooms or St. John’s Wort. Nothing about this oatmeal tastes funky or off. The cranberry flavor is subtle and not overly tart.

Very delicious, natural tasting, perfectly sweetened, premium quality oatmeal!
