Bestes Papier was ich je benutzt habe! Ich benutze es für Farbstiftzeichnungen. Es ist das beste! Ein Traum! Alle Zeichnungen sehen sehr smooth aus.

Although a bit pricey, it is nice paper. It doesn’t take light watercolor washes because the paper will ripple. Dry pencil techniques and pastels work best. I wish I could have gotten a smaller pad than the 11×14, though. Other sizes were not offered. Regardless, it is a good quality pad of Bristol. I do recommend the vellum for the colored pencil, graphite, and pastel artists.

I sell my work and like a smooth surface for an ink drawing. This works out very welland stands up pretty well to light ink washes

I use Micron and Gelly Roll pens on this paper. Its surface is extremely smooth and “hard”, more so than the 300 and 400 series (which I’ve also used.) That keeps most of the ink on the surface of the paper, which gives it a great deal of visual ‘pop’. As such, I’m extremely happy with the quality of the workmanship in the product; I just wish it came in a square (instead of rectangular) format.

I do wish there was heavier stock available, but this is pretty high quality stuff. I use it for pen&ink work with heavy coverage and while it sometimes warps a little, it flattens right out when I stick it in my portfolio book.

This is the best board I have used. It is just expensive enough that I don’t want to use it for trivial stuff, just quality work. It’s a little harder to feed through my small printer, but is fine for hand work (lettering and line art). For standard, normal quality work the 300 series is adequate and a good value, though.

Every artist likes their own paper for their own reason. This paper for me has been the best so far for my graphic drawings. I like in thickness, it allows for erasing often. It allows for limited mixed media. I like to use some colored pencil with my graphite and it holds up to blending. It also frames well.

Nice paper, but…. every sheet had 4 ragged edges… not very noticeable, until you look up close, and see the small paper flakes on each edge. If you want to do extra trimming, then this pad might be fine for you. It is generally only ONE edge which needs a trim, and that is the top edge, which is attached to the binding. Maybe this is a bad batch. Strathmore, if you are listening, please do a quality check, before shipping these pads to your various vendors.
