I am not an athlete by any means, but purchased this product to help with “chub rub” between my thighs during the hot summer months. I have tried other products that resemble a stick of deodorant, and they never made much of a difference. This product is the best thing I have ever tried! I even used it under my wedding dress last month in the hot Texas heat, and it worked wonders at keeping me comfortable! Definitely worth the money!

This is the best wetsuit lubricant I have used – by far

I’m an active member of the Hash House Harriers. I run through everything from city streets and hiking trails to thick brush and swampland, and I do it all in a kilt.

Now, for those of you who have never known the joy of galavanting with your dingly danglies flippy flopping about, things can get rather frictional in the sub-crotchal regions.

And, in my search for a lubricant that could deliver slickness to prevent chafing, remain steadfast against the sweatiest of the sweaties and the wettest river crossing, and not melt in my pack (or truck) during the brutal Texas summers, I came across this magnificent can of slick excellence.

Spray it on. Apply friction. Marvel at the lack of resistance. Then look around and marvel at the world, chafe-free.

Also useful if you’re putting on a wetsuit, apparently.

As a triathlete at the Ironman level, I have tried several products for chafing. This isn’t the best but it’s by far not the worst. I really like the spray-on application and in T1 (Transition 1 between the swim and bike), it’s super easy to discreetly get an additional spray in. Same goes for T2. I won’t give it five stars because it’s pretty pricey in comparison to something like Vaseline which serves the same purpose for a fraction of the costs. Let’s face it, you’re paying for a cool, sport-specific spray with Trislide.

I will give you one HUGE tip. DO NOT and I repeat, DO NOT apply this indoors over hardwoods, laminate or any other type of hard flooring. It will turn your entire floor into a skating rink and it will spread everywhere. It’s very dangerous actually and you have to work hard to get it up off the floor. I learned this the hard way after nearly breaking my neck in the kitchen. Please make sure you apply this outdoors or at the very least, in a carpeted room. Trust me on this – it’s insanely slippery!!

I’ve done wild swimming into the winter this year, and when I added a wetsuit hood to my kit the neck chaffing was very bad. I had not used spray lube before this one, but I’m very happy with the results…. and no more chaffing.

I started training for triathlons exactly two years ago. I’ve been an avid runner my entire life and to be honest, for running alone, using a generic brand of KY jelly has always worked well to eliminate chafe (and has minimal grease like Vaseline). HOWEVER, the triathlon is a completely different game. Those cheap lubricants I used in the past no longer held up to the swim/bike/run challenge. So, two years ago when I started TRIs, I moved to a BodyGlide stick (looks like deodorant). Unfortunately, the stick could not keep up with long distance races. I found after one half Ironman (June 2019) my armpits were so chaffed I needed to take a few days off from training as well as wear short-sleeved shirts EVERYWHERE to avoid all skin-to-skin contact.

Then I found this peace of heaven: TRISLIDE. This spray has ABSOLUTELY SAVED ME. I learned the best way to apply is with enough that it feels “slick” or “wet”, then let dry (does so fairly quickly). Then after 5 hours of constant swim, bike, run, I can bask in the pleasure of being CHAFE FREE! Woots! I even did back-to-back races one weekend because…. no chafe! 🙂

Also, as for how long this 4oz bottle lasts, I bought mine last August 2019. Since then I used it for 3 Olympic triathlons and 1 half Ironman. I also applied several times before bike rides as well as some swim + run workouts. The bottle still feels about 1/2 full. From this rough guesstimate, I’d say I might need two bottles per year. I do about 14 triathlons in a year and copious amounts of running races (again, running alone, I still use my off-brand jellies).

    I love TRISLIDE!!!!!

Great product, easy to use, does the job well. I use it to put my wetsuit on and it is so much easier now that I have the spray on glide. I used other producs, roll-on type, they were good, but this one is the best I’ve tried. It also washes off the wetsuit and doesn’t harden it.

TRISLIDE – aerosol lubricant for athletes….. ‘Her Indoors’ nearly wet herself when she read this, however
…whilst I’m no athlete this fine product certainly assists me in getting my wetsuit over my ‘love handles’

Best anti chafe around. The spray makes it really easy to apply (you only need a little). I like it better than the Body stick, I think it lasts longer. No staining on your clothes. The only downside, is if your a trail runner etc and you want to apply in public before running, it’s not as easy to be discreet than with a stick. Also, FYI this is basically silicone lube, but it works great!

I use this before running (trail and road) and working out. Never had any issues with it drying out after long runs. I only prefer chamois cream when I’m on the bike.

A little tip – if you keep this in your gym bag, put it in a ziplock, in case you forget to twist lock it.

When cycling longer distances (40+ miles) in very hot and humid weather I often get chafing on the tops of my thighs under the leg grippers of my bibs. It looks like a friction/heat rash and usually itches a bit and lasts a day or two. It’s not a big deal but annoying nonetheless. In addition to SBR by Tri-Slide, I’ve used Bodyglide, Gold Bond Friction Defense and Mission Athletecare. None of them really work very well for my particular issue but Tri-Slide did help some. It has the consistency of water and you have to use a lot so that combined with it being expensive makes me hesitant to recommend it.

Does what it says, used it numerous times now and no rubbing around my neck with the wet suit on

Bought this to use for Disney World and it worked well…sort of. Definitely watch where you spray…the floor will get VERY slippery and won’t come off with just a towel! I wore regular shorts one day in Hollywood Studios and had NO chaffing, redness, at all. Applied the spray a couple times throughout the day. The slippriness dissipated after a few minutes and my skin felt smooth, never greasy or totally “lubed” up. Then the next day I wore shorts that were slightly longer than the first day’s, they also liked to ride up. I think my shorts were rubbing the spray off my skin, which caused me to chafe. It wasn’t so horrible that I could wear shorts again two days later, but it still chaffed. I think this spray works best for skin-on-skin contact, not so much where a piece of clothing is rubbing on it. I feel that the clothing just rubs the spray right off. Overall I would say this still worked well in the 95 degree Florida heat and walking 7 miles around Disney!
