Got this to replace a malfunctioning lamp switch in my almost vintage motorhome. Took me one minute to swap the part and voilà! Good as new.
The nickel stem is a little too long for the lamp design, but it’s not a big deal. I might trim it a bit if it bothers me too much.

I had broken on of the switches on a twin lamp work light. It was not easy to find a replacement locally and the price was shocking. I found this on Amazon and it was just the thing I needed. The price was reasonable. It was very to install.

It was a perfect replacement for an outdoors weatherproof task light with a broken push switch. I unfastened the old one, attached the new, rebound the wires, reassembled the casing, and had it working in 5 minutes. The diameter fit perfectly and the original waterproof rubber nipple fit right over the new switch. Great value and price.

Finally, the over-cooktop light switch blew up (actually flew apart) in our 1970’s-era range hood.
When I removed the old switch, I saw that it was literally identical to this Gardner Bender replacement.
Once installed, however, the new switch had a tendency to stick or cycle as though it were binding. When it got stuck at the bottom of the throw after about a week’s worth of service, I gave it a spritz of contact cleaner DeOxit, and it’s been working great ever since.
Amazon sells DeOxit here; it’s handy to have n-hand for electrical switches and commonly used in musical instruments potentiometers (volume and tone controls.)

OK, it’s not even $7, so how good could it be? It works. The lamp goes on, it goes off. There’s plastic threading so don’t gorilla tighten it with the lock ring. However, it works. If it breaks in the next few months, I’ll update my review. As easy as it is to replace since it’s not soldered in, I’ll just replace it again in a few years. Fixed a $100 lamp.

I originally tried to purchase this from the local Big box store. the online inventory checker indicated that they had stock. But, they did not and the entire inventory in that area was in disarray. I found it on Amazon for much cheaper and free shipping. I went that route. The switch was easy to install. It replaced the light switch on a 75 year old ventilation hood. This product appears to be well made. Literally installed it in minutes. Amazon came to the rescue once again.

I’ve installed it in a closet door to turn on light inside when the door is opened, like in a fridge. Very convenient.

Fits fine. OEM switches had shorter plunger (not sure what to call it) made of black plastic, and these look like chrome. No big deal. Apparently canopy light switches come in 2 different diameters. This is the smaller diameter that I needed.
Installation was simple. OEM had 1 wire using a wire nut, the other a some kind of compression connection block (not sure what to call it). This switch came with the wire insulation separated so you can just slide it off the wire and make your connection. That worked well for the wire nut lead, and I just snipped off the other end for a good connection in that compression block.
Anyway it’s working fine.

2020-7-28 Update:
Not many alternatives out there, so I bought another one to replace the failed switch. Installed yesterday and will see how long this one lasts.
2020-07-22 Update:
Switch broke after 1 month of moderate to light use and is stuck in the down position. Initially worked great.
